  • if you subscribed to Rogers cable in Toronto. Pay tv channesl in February 1983 were First Choice channel 24 C Channel channel 25 Superchannel channel 26 & Preimier Choix channel 27. Rember the descrambler box? It's prpoer name was tac=a=lomg. By the time of this preview the Rogers Wonderbox was the in thing, lol...Sorry for the sloppy french spelling...

  • you right it is from 1987 because aliens and haunted honeymoon was released in 1986

  • was that the end of nightmare on elm street 2 because this new line cinema logo was used from 1980-1987

  • "mommy can I keep him"

    haha I remember that!

    Total ET spoof :D

  • I remember that, too. nowadays, it seems a little too weird. but some of those shorts were the bests. on my converter, I think First Choice was on Channel 26...and we didn't subscribe until 1989 when they did the genre spotlight thing. anyone remember that?

  • We had it in 1987. On our converter it was channel 17. Back then TVs didnt go past channel 13 without the converters. Its funny cuz my kids now cant believe at one time we only had 12 channels!

  • I remember this channel being in the upper stratosphere of our cable numbers...24 or 25!

  • Channel 17 for us! I think I would have been 7 years old when this clip aired :D

  • Great post Retro! I was a dedicated subscriber during that period. Great memories!
