I do different just to save money on my bill :D I think an ITX MB and an Atom CPU can do this job pretty good. If you have a *MONSTER* traffic on your server... you are free to use a 5 KILOWATT machine with 200 fans to cool it.

i took a trip to PEAK 10 data center on louisville KY, while at school. They have a very nice setup. Raised floors the let huge 4ton units cool the room also the floor neatly houses all the cables, unlike that cable disaster. tell those people to secure those cables on that beast, better air flow=less heat which in turn = long equipment life.

Its a real shame, those monitors are perfectly good.

@Max1636 Our hospital's data center has a few Proliant servers running Pentium II's. Each have a few 10 GB hard drives. When I asked the admin there why, he said that they still work, and still work fine for holding old hospital records. No need to replace them. He also said they have rarely gone down in the past 10 years they've been on. Now that's reliability.
