If you have to hide it from your parents you probably shouldn't be getting it. Most people looking to hide piercings from parents are under-age and prioritize getting their piercings no matter what instead of waiting and going to a proper place. (I know, I've been there)

Ok you just fully saved me lol. I got mine done a few weeks back and already have moved up to a really thick horseshoe but I couldn't flip it! I have job interviews and stuff coming up and really couldn't understand why it wouldn't flip so I YouTube searched on my phone and found this, I never would have thought of the idea of widening it with pliers, great idea!! @Tragicalmist Hey, sorry for the late reply :) to be honest, i'd say a 9.5, but that's only cause i did it myself, so i pushed the needle through really slow XD but some of my friends who also have theirs done told me that it didn't hurt at all! So i suppose it's different for everyone, but it's well worth it :)

I pierced my own septum about 2 months ago :P. Once it heals, I would recommend getting a black retainer if you're trying to hide it from your parents. If you move your nose or laugh with the regular ones flipped up, you can see the shine. Well, at least the one that I had did :P.

@MyTrolololo Hey there :) well if you did get one, get a black one and keep it flipped up around your mum and she won't know :3 I think you should go for it, they look really good :) but nope the ring doesn't fall off, just make sure you keep the balls/spikes on. Good luck :)
