what is the difference in the motor on a super moto compared to a regular dirt bike...u think the bike would over heat from riding it so long and fast......u'd think a regular dirt bike would...i want to get one so i was just wandering....would it over heat on a long highway trip

the supermoto bikes are geared way different than a dirt bike so the motor dont kill itself

You dont want to be doing long high way trips though its made for nice bends not driving in straight lines. Ur best sticking to 1 of them harley things that all americans ride.

the motor in the drz 400s actually derive from the motor in the z and kfx 400s so the long hard riding even at low speeds doesnt hurt this bike

I got like 3 questions for you.

1. Do you pop-clutch or throttle wheelie?

2. Do you ride out the throttle (and maybe shift out the gears) or do you hit balance point and keep steady revs from there?

3. How much does one of those go for on average in North America?

clutch that shit up high idle mostly coasting. u can learn to accelerate and decelerate wheelies when u get used to the rear brake also so i usually never hit the rev limiter. im from illinois they are 4800 for an 05 over here mines a lil modified tho

@crazyklayguy you dont need any clutch on a drz400E . i do have a video of me wheelieing.. you might want to check it out. i road sm's and E's they are similar but the gearing makes the E wheelie in 3-4 no cluch, compare to the sm clutch on second gear

I think I got an idea that works for now though, I have a stock u-shaped bar mounted which if I make a hole in the rear plastic I can have my foot in as a 12 bar.

yeah cuz the round powers bar is the only one they make unless u want it custom i fabricate so i can do pretty much anything to an extent

Yeah I mean if u want to get serious stuntin ull need a custom bar but for now I only need somewhere to have my left foot. I wanna switch the rear light n plate mounting anyway so if I smash it while goin past 12 o'clock it doesnt matter. If I smash it though I might consider welding a custom bar to the subframe.

yeah i just rigged up some red leds cuz theyre smaller i use the foot in the subframe technique now that i have circles down, i also tigwelded a nice step becaus of how the subframe is rounded ur foot tends to get stuck in there all too much, it can b good and bad. anyway grinding a real 12 on a motard is damn near impossible cuz u have to be going like 30+  mph just to get that fucker to slide and forget highchair scrapers its too far back my nigga

thanks yall gearing is a 47 tooth twin wall renthal in the back stock 15 in the front but the dr is the shit for s starter and a keeper ill never get rid of it ive burned up two engines learnin tho those 10 min wheelies dry your cylinder wall out. made the 12 bar stunt pegs, got a kn n athena cylinder wall high compression weisco piston pro circuit slip on erv3 x ring chain. any other questions feel free to hit me up. thanks for the comments and support this is why i do it.-willie d

Have you really wrecked 2 engines!? I was told oil starvation was not much of an issue on DRZ's cause they got a dry sump and the oil pickup is low down or something.

ive had the cases open enough to tell you definately the oil pickup is towards the front of the engine but there is a way to reroute oil towards the front to prevent starvation just get some hosing and some beer and 6 hours with someone that knows what theyre doing, wich on the drz there isnt many people who would even try and fuck with it, theyd just go buy an f4i and say fuck oil starvation wich is what im about to do but im keepin the tard its mad fun
