Right, this is what happened. Do not dispute because I am right and you don't know anything about football: The Swiss bloke, think it's Frei, was offside from the initial pass, but neither the linesman or ref spotted that, and the koreans continued to play. But the actual ball that led to the goal came off a Korean player so the Swiss bloke was not offside.

Spain game... It was only 1 controversial call. It was when the ball was going out of bounds but the ball stayed in barely. Back then, it was only 1 ref running and it was harder for the ref to see without the side refs. Now, with the help of 2 side judges, they should be able to call an offsides and 3 penalty kicks.

I've been on that, it's like 'teach yourself football' for small children. The rule you're on about refers to the ball being deflected after the attacking player has passed the ball, in the Korea game there was no through ball or whatever, it was just a loose ball and the Korean poked it back towards goal. azanine, as I said before, if you watch the replay carefully, you won't make yourself look so stupid as you are right now. Korea player KICK the ball to the Swiss player in the back, that's why it's NOT offside.

the world cup will always be there every 4 years. 10 years from now, no body will remember who won the world cup. its no big deal but fifa should definitely consider using instant replay to help referee make decisions. it is ridiculous that in this time of modern age, referees are still expected to make decisions without the aid of instant replays like how it was in the 1930s.
