The lines that appear on the bottom of the video while zooming... are they still there when you view the video on your computer? Or do they only appear when uploaded to YouTube?

Camera is pretty good, battery extremely shit (died out after 35 min of recording), sometimes loses focus, and sound gets distorted if loud...

I had the 300HS and it was only short really of the Zoom, this has 10x and also Now 1080 video. excellent camera.

I demoed it today at Best Buy. Its kinda bulky and thick compared to the online photos. The menu system is good but the top button that switches from playback, photo, and video mode needs to be redesigned. It also needs a dedicated record button. I did enjoy the sound of high burst mode. It was pretty cool but since no sd card to save I couldnt tell the quality of photo, video, etc. Lastly the 10x zoom needs to be labeled when you reach 10x before digital mode. Someone needs a full review...

Can u record a video in loud enviroment?? Like a concert, curious if the sound gets distorted or not. I hear distortion caused by the wind in this movie :(

The Zoom IS 10X optical -it has a huge lens for its size. there is an additional 4X digital zoom (which is useless of course)

Yea looks like this is the best point and shoot on the market Overall... its got what the s95 has plus 1080p plus zoom (though its not optical, but what they call dynamic)...
