I hate to see my coast being bombared with crack, I wish people had a chance for education and children can grow up the way I did when lived in Bluefields.

I was born in Esteli, a small nothern town. Never went to visit the coast until I took my wife with me from Canada my new home. I've never seen just how beautifull the rest of my country really was until I saw Corn Island.
Be there next month, thank you for the pic's of the Atlantic zone, My face hurts from smilling, can not wait to see my 4 year old play with children, and explore a nation of poets, I am doing my happy dance.
Nicaragua is not only Masaya, Granada, Leon, etc. Niaragua is Bluefields, Corn Island, El Rama ,etc. Nicaragua is all that beutiful Caribbean cost, full of amazing waters and Palo de Mayo ! As Nicaraguenses We must visit La Costa to enjoy the FULL Nicaraguan experiense !
It is a shame that ignorant people take the time to respond with such ignorant comments, but don't take the time to clear their ignorance with knowledge. Nicaragua, despite what "we" have gone through is a beatiful country. The contras killed many with USA direct help, but they did not kill the poet, the dreamer, the hard worker, the artist, the dancer, the culture in Nicaragua.
I mistakenly deleted a comment about Nicaragua not having an Atlantic Coast but a Caribbean Coast - thanks for the comment and your partially right. The Caribbean Sea is a part of the Atlantic Ocean and I offered it as a contrast from the Pacific side.... anyway thanks for your comments :)
"Crack plagues Nicaragua" Oh hell no, crack plagues American sons of a bitches who funded those Contra terrorists who sold weapons that killed innocent children and people in Iran. Thanks to the U.S. places like Panama Colombia And Compton are overrun with drugs. Beautiful slide show though, i love the Atlantic coast =) I love the diversity of my beautiful country. Its a shame all that the country has been through though.. the mention of the 72 earthquake brings my family to tears.
Great video, love the photos! I still miss Nicaragua, the place i grew up long ago.
I am so glad things are relatively peaceful for the people after so much suffering.

Just moved to Puerto Cabazas last month. It's a HUGE change from being raised in Miami but, helping the people here is worth it.
