Hey I wanna learn speaking like this, I think its so funny, coz I'm Icelandic.. And reading it is so like Icelandic. Don't be mean to me coz I'm Icelandic and for all the problems we are having, my grandfather is from Faroe Islands, and I have cousins and more from Faroe Islands. Midjord is the family name, I wanna learn more about my faroe family..

Hehe i´d rather say that Icelanders were nervous :p the Faroese were kind of a base for Viking who wanted to attack britain.. Shetland was not. Of the areas in the west then most norse/scandinavan blood has been found in Faroese Male.

Also one of the first Icelander Naddoddur was just a bad navigator :P he wanted to find Faroe Islands but missed it and came to Iceland :p he probably had extremly much of Mjød!

Eg var í havn. Minnist væl at tey fólkini í skuldu til eysturoy og aðrastaðnið máttu fara tíðliga avstað. Men stormurin í 89 ella 91 var fyri meg persónliga nógv verri enn hesin, tað kemur alt an uppá hvar í Føroyum man er.

Yes, in winter we usually get at least one bad storm(150kmh). The wind never seems to stop in Shetland....:(. Maybe just a few days in a year.

Greetings from Shetland. Thanks for posting this. I saw it on the Faroese internet news but your film shows how bad it was.

When we have much snow in Shetland we call it a "Moorie Kavee" and when we have strong wind it is a "Gyndarooster"(well, we have many names for snow and wind but this is just two).
