  • The problem is probably the shakeyness of the desk from the speakers. Use books or isolation pads.

  • onko näissä paikkaa kiinnittää subbari?

  • its "distorted"

  • Behringer MS40 used carefully for less than 1 year = clipping bass sound. AAaaaaaaaaaargh!!! I am gonna trash them!

  • please!!! someone can tell me what is the name of the first track?? thanksss

  • you should have bought a pair off M audio ex 66

  • what do you mean they leak , electricity leak? and why does this happen :D

  • Hi, Should I take these or the Cakewalk MA-15D?

    Thanks

  • how do you connect those speakers? do you need an inferface?

  • would it be good for hardstyle, hardcore, trance and dubstep????

  • hi! Do you think these speaker are loud enough to use inside a room with a group of 100 people? Thanks!

  • 3.19-4.35 who is that!!! please tell me asap

  • can you tell me what song/band is playing around 1:30 to 2:10? Thanks mate

  • So good for home studio?

  • i want those repro to turntables and mix too. Are they good for djing?

  • Are they good enough for use in home recording studio? Let me meet someone, because I want to buy these monitors. Thanks in advance

  • Onks tää nyt se IRC.

  • hey dude....whats the name of the first track that goes till 0:50?? been lookin for it for ages!

  • looks like those bootleg speakers that you buy all shiny and alot of plastic lol!!

  • pretty nice demo. Sounds quality obviously isn't true on youtube though. These seem nice, but where's the bass?

  • wat is the easiest way to connect these to your pc ??

  • Hi, could you please tell me how the metal music sounds on these? For me is important clear and dynamic sound. I don't knee on strong bass.

  • @MegaTski = i have a set of MS40's i run them flat and metal from maiden to metallica to machine head they sound awesome!!!

  • I would please for this info too, thx

  • Reference speakers usually don't have a strong bass response because the have a flat response. You need a subwoofer for the lower end. Reference speakers are for mixing and have a flat EQ.

  • @Lehmann108 can't you just listen to music in your room using monitors?

  • yes, but their ideal purpose is for studio use.

  • Dude can you write a songlist please? :)

  • DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS!!!!!! they are good. very good in fact for the price, however, i guarantee that they will break, i bought mine a year ago and would swear by them, well mine broke, i woke up one morning and they wouldn't turn on. i got them replaced, i woke up today, and the same problem, they wouldn't turn on. adding insult to injury they are 2 days outside their warranty. they sound great, they look great and the price is right, but be careful, they are fucking unreliable.

  • FUCK U

  • @ibloomberg Sounds like your problem is that you're going to sleep. They only break right after you wake up. Have you tried just staying asleep?

  • @DecibelMasher hahahaahaha

  • how loud do these guys go?

  • they dont get very loud,I mean if you plan a performance in private or sumthing but its ok for a party @ home

  • The sound quality of the Behringer MS40 is MUCH better than the one of those 2.1-Systems with no mids. And keep in mind, that these speakers are designed to listen to, when you're sitting at your table. And for that they're really loud enough.

  • I'VE ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH BEHRINGER GEAR!!!! I don't recommend anything from them!!! Grab some "TANK LIKE " KRK'S!!!! Not bad for the price!!!!!

  • KRK's are amazing for mixing.

  • they're cheap but good. all those shit 2.1 systems for your computer are no challenge for them when we talk about sound quality.

  • I was looking for some monitors in this price range a few weeks back and I eventually settled on the Edirol MA-15Ds

They're a little smaller than the Behringer MS40s but they'll go very loud with no distortion. Won't be your cup of tea if you want them for bass though. That said the bass response is very good for their size and they do have a sub-woofer output (which I won't be using)

  • thanks, im in the market for some monitors and this video was a great help

  • no man they sound ok to me...(i have the same)

    but hey!

dont play bass at high volumes cause the air is going to come out from the knobs and you will get an annoying sound.

In the worse case you will blow em up and need new ones

  • hi reinoh, i'm here again so ihave my speakers like this model too, so I'm kinda confused about installing, can you teach me with a short vieo how do u have your cables installed, please, I'm new about these, thank you.

  • hey rzar7k wassup man?

from cables you will need a phono to phono cable to go from the left to the right speaker(included in box with speakers)

to connect them with an iPod or a pc you'll need a cable from a line to 2 phonos (red and white).

i hope you understand what i'm talking about cause my english are not so good :)

  • Thanxs Reinoh for it, I'm waiting for these spearkers, I payed €120 about 128$, I'm from spain, gotta go and thanks for all.

  • what ins the name of these band in 2:50"

and 3:19" please tell me. Thans.

  • nim vind

  • What do expect for $150 speakers?

  • Hi, could you tell me the singer and title of the last song? It's really nice!

  • would these speakers work well with dubstep/ drum + bass? i need to hear low frequency sounds as clearly and as loudly as possible?

  • no :) low frequency is the crappiest thing in these speakers... check out truth series.

  • @reinohh What about KRK?

  • i have question are good this speakers for home studio ??? or better model 2031b ??

  • Yeah, lloking at those monitors they are way too close to the deckas and the bass will just go through the table and be picked up by the needles on the deckas. I had this years ago when I was using Technics SL1200's. As soon as I moved them off the table the problem was solved. Maybe get a pair of speaker stands or at least try the foam thing.

  • Seriously, try and cover the holes by using Blue Tack to hang a tissue over the area that is leaking. Works on Yamaha NS10 Monitors and may help.

Also try to place the monitors on some foam so that they don't send feedback to the decks which will lead to a low humming sound and drive you crazy.

Let me know how you get on.

    Mark.

  • To Reinohh: pick up some aurlex monitor isolation pads from guitar center. that should take some of the muddy'ness' out of the speakers from sitting on your desk. they've gotta be around 35 bucks. thats it, makes a world of a difference.

  • I think i gonna buy these, going 4.1. Already have ESI nEAR 05 (really good) they are going front and then I will put these on the back and then will buy sub also.

These can be rubbish on the main speakers but I think they are just fine on the back. :)

  • Can you tell me what band and song you are playing from 2:10 to 2:29?

  • its one of the most known finnish rock bands... CMX - PEDOT

  • Thank you ;)

Too bad I can't understand a word they say.

Even though I really like the way they sound.

  • @reinohh I didn't even realize Finland had guitars.

  • I find more behringer am rather badly finished and sound from there also badly ^

  • I have this speaker too

    It's really NICE

  • how would i link these up to my audio interface

  • what is the first sound?

  • I have a question.. I want to buy the Behringer Ms-40 or the Behringer Truth B - 2030P for producing house.. which one is better?

  • well if you have the money go buy some genelec speakers. but I also have heard some good about those truth series. MS-40 are crap...

  • hmm okee.. then i go buy 2 speakers of the truth series :) thanks for you tip.

  • I agree with the other posts - the MS40 are good, considering price. Of course they are not as good as speakers that cost much more. I'm doing a bit of audio and video editing (small home studio) and they are good for that. They also make nice multimedia speakers for music and movies, IMO. The guy reports wind blowing out of the knobs and making a noise - mine don't do that? Also the setup on top of that little shelve and the bass knob turned all the way down is a bit strange, if you ask me.

  • You have a point there like everyone else.. I turned the bass to fullest so you guys could hear the air pushing trough put its a video about speakers heh :D

  • If you test speakers, you should not try to make them look as bad as possibe. In the end of your review you say that MS40's are worth the money (and I agree). This was a surprise to me, because in your review you hardly say a positive word about them. Of course you can always point at pro speakers that cost a lot more and say "MS40 sound rubbish". But that's not a fear review of the product.

  • well it seems like you cannot accept my opinion on these so lets leave it now :)

  • buy MACKIE BELIEVE ME........

  • I got these for excactly $100 usd for my little home protools le studio with mbox2. They work well enough for mixing. I wish they didn't have the bass and treble knobs which is a little odd for studio monitors. Most the stuff i do is standard rock tones so there's not much super low frequency stuff. I like mixing on lower end speakers anyways as most people listen on crappy speakers. So yeah these are good for the price.

  • Idiot you are paying like 5x more for the Mackie Hr624 MK2's of course they are going to be better.

  • I think I'll stick to the Mackie Hr624'sMK2's

  • I had a similar problem with my behringer monitors, their low end monitors are quite rubbishy, they sound ok but they break easily and have a lot of design flaws, they don't really get good until you get to the 'truth' series where the monitors are matched pairs without the poorly sealed dials.

  • It's just the amp vibrating in there. Easy fix. Don't worry about the air leak because they're ported anyway. The other speaker is ok I'd guess.

  • Heh Behringer quality. Your english is not as bad as you think. Maybe you should use some tape on the parts where it leaks or something else. :P Good video.

  • thanks a lot for doing this for me man. i appreciate it. mine should be here tomorrow and i'll let you know how they sound.

  • np.
