@MRZX6R08 in my opinion the old one is ugly, the 09 version looks better, but i dont like the current zx10r either i dont like its styling, yamaha, suzuki they all have great styling and they are beautiful bikes but i never really liked kawasaki..

If a 250cc is to small for you, step up to a 600cc (but not a super sport). My first bike was a Ninja 650R, road it for a year then traded for a 09 Ninja Zx6r. Most of it comes down to preference, I don't know how tall you are, or what you like to sit on. Try different brands, try different models, and in the end it comes down to you. You may like the zx6r...
@Auzea I'm taking motorbike lessons on heavier models then 250cc... 400 and later on, in the latest x-some lessons i will ride the 600cc.. it's for when your 21+ so you don't have to wait years until you may ride the heavy ones. when you get your license before your 21th, you have to wait a few years before moving up to 250+'s. it's a quite good arrangement; no 18 year olds on 1100cc blackbirds or hayabusa's if they have money enough :P

@kevxxx7 If you ridden 600s, get a 1000 if not get a 600, you don't want to kill yourself. I would recommend a zx6r or a r6, they're both great bikes, the r6 is just a bit more raw and uncomfortable.

The 2007-2008 model look better. It's the only Sportsbike I'd buy. The 2007-2008 and the Z750/Z1000 from 2007 (especially the Z1000 from 2010) are the only Inline 4s I'd buy.

@TheHusky9 all supersport bikes are the same, low beam is one light and high beam is the other. on most driving conditions you only need low beams, same as a car. in fact ive been pulled over for having my high-beams on (both lights).

Last week I bought 2008 model. I know it's slower then 2005/06 version and the brand new one 2009 but i like the way it looks. The brakes are awsome and they are the same as in new model and much better then in 2005 version. Power since I swaped from ER6n is plenty enough and please explain to me that on the road You will notice the power diffrence between2008 & 2009 model, beacause I don't think so...
Ok jrarchila is an idiot! I have riding experience. my first bike was a 600 the above bike. It's not the size of the bike. Its the rider. You can just as easily kill yourself on a 250 there isnt really a market for 125cc in the US. Most people kill themselves to fast in curves. 40 mph wreck on a 250 is just as bad as a bussa. I say by the biggest bike you want. If you can keep the front wheel from poping up at street light. you will probably be fine. dont buy a used 250 to start. buy a used 600
not really, if u make responsible decisions and understand the physics and principals of riding a motorcycle in varying conditions youd be fine on a 600, i wouldnt go much bigger just because theres a good chance youll pop the clutch once or twice but on a 600 its still pretty forgiving and it wont pop up unless ur trying to launch or wheelie it and fuck up, took an MSF course on a lil honda nighthawk and got a 600, its perfect for starting out if your responsible if not ur dead on a 250 even

Last week I bought 2008 model. I know it's slower then 2005/06 version and the brand new one 2009 but i like the way it looks. The brakes are awsome and they are the same as in new model and much better then in 2005 version. Power since I swaped from ER6n is plenty enough and please explain to me that on the road You will notice the power diffrence between2008 & 2009 model, beacause I don't think so...

my fisrt bike was a 1998 zx6r really easy to ride. Just dont be snap happy with your wrist to start

I'm beginner on Kawasaki zx 6r '99 ...have no problems with 600cc. You control throttle ... you control the bike

Ok jrarchila is an idiot! I have riding experience. my first bike was a 600 the above bike. It's not the size of the bike. Its the rider. You can just as easily kill yourself on a 250 there isnt really a market for 125cc in the US. Most people kill themselves to fast in curves. 40 mph wreck on a 250 is just as bad as a bussa. I say by the biggest bike you want. If you can keep the front wheel from poping up at street light. you will probably be fine. dont buy a used 250 to start. buy a used 600

if u dont buy something like 125 or a 250 first, unless u wanna end up in a box six feet under.

not really, if u make responsible decisions and understand the physics and principals of riding a motorcycle in varying conditions youd be fine on a 600, i wouldnt go much bigger just because theres a good chance youll pop the clutch once or twice but on a 600 its still pretty forgiving and it wont pop up unless ur trying to launch or wheelie it and fuck up, took an MSF course on a lil honda nighthawk and got a 600, its perfect for starting out if your responsible if not ur dead on a 250 even

It's a sweet-lookin bike I just still don't like the pipes under the tail, I still like the muffler on the side. *shrug* maybe I'm just old-school =x

I agree, i've been riding a 2003 ninja250 for almost a year and have been loving it. Even my friends on bigger bikes have trouble keeping up with me in the turns now. Check out my videos if you want to see how the little ninja does in the turns

but damn, I like both, but the 09 is a nice 10 kilos lighter, which is always good, and I like the styling, love it, actually. too bad my first bike will be a cbr125 :P

why not get a ninja 250 for first bike? only about a thousand times better to ride then the cbr125, well i think so anyway after riding both on consecutive days

The CBR is cheaper, and I won't exactly have a load of cash on hand...and I like the idea of a stupidly light bike. I want to learn to master the shit out of the thing so that I can whip it around like a bitch

I just bought one!!! Found a dealer with some stock from April, so managed to get the old price not the new and with the VAT reduction, it's a bloody bargain!
