  • I can't believe, the original version is shit! The latinamerican version is 100 times better!

  • I have seen a lot of anime in my time, literally hundreds of hours. Having said that, the sequence of the plane flying over is my favorite anime scene.

  • Damn. I remember seeing this on AXN. Wow.

  • and I mean absolutely every episode of You're Under Arrest not just this series, but it did start beautifully.

  • I don't think I will ever enjoy an anime as much as this one. I loved every second of it.

  • great uploading~

  • Fantastic animation! But to call the story here "imaginative" or "deep" is definitely a stretch. Many anime of today (Mawaru Penguindrum, Steins; Gate, Madoka Magika, and Bakemonogatari and are very recent examples) have richer stories than "Hot police woman saving the day". I really wish people would stop the nostalgia-faggotry all the time. Great and shitty anime are ALWAYS being produced.

  • @KrazyKobun I would say YUA is more comedic slice of life than "hot police women saving the day" lol (actually, I never really thought of Natsumi and Miyuki as being hot, not nearly as racy as Dirty Pair anyway =P)

  • The animation in this is incredible. It's sad that you don't often see anime with this kind of skill level in animation anymore, it really is a shame. There's so much moe on the market now ~~~ all the characters these days either look under-age, objectified or like j-rock stars. You don't often see the same kind of imaginative animation/stories like you'd find in Cagliostro, Madox, Slayers, Macross, Ranma, Galaxy Express, Nuku Nuku, etc. anymore. But this was a breath of fresh air at least.

  • @Kentama I agree, everything about this show and all it's series is first class.

  • @Kentama I hate to say but I have this on DVD and sadly, the quality of the animation gets WORSE with each episode. There are about 10 episodes in season one. When you compare ep one with ep 10, there is a MASSIVE difference in the animation. By the time you get to the second half of the season, the animation is pretty bad, as if they suddenly rushed it just to get it onto the market. I thought the studio didn't burn the DVD properly but this deterioration is in all of the sea 1 DVDs.

  • @starlionblue Yeah, what happened is that Animeigo released YUA by combining the four OVA episodes (disc 1) with the TV series (disc 2~13 I think) as a single release. I've got the OVA and I've considered getting the TV series as well, but when I saw trailers showing the significant difference in animation quality, I decided against it (I'm still interested, it's just a bit pricey right now :P).

  • @starlionblue Yea, if you watch the second opening song of the first season, you can see the significant changes of the art quality. But still i like the series :)

  • Probably my favourite opening and music!

  • Ahhh yes, anime back in the pre-moe days.

  • True animation. Love it.

  • love this show

  • I just bought one of the Japanese LaserDiscs of this series. Cool so far. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • thank you for uploading this ^^

  • This was my 2nd anime, the good old days of anime when they had real storys

  • @TotallyAnimeNinja good animes are still being produced back then there also where bad animes, stop these kind of nostalgic comments bashing the present of a medium because its not true.

  • @TotallyAnimeNinja wrong good and bad animes existed then and now end of story dont tell us BS

  • ive been trying to find this anime for a while now thanks for posting! :D

  • Thanks for uploading this. The animation in this opening is WONDERFUL and I adore the song. :)
