  • @james28570 Thanks , I have the song on my Computer, but The place,s I sing K/oki , they cant get it. I used to sing it live in my Pub , years ago, Thanks for your info ~ Arthur

  • I love to hear old Hank. Thanks for the post.. Just amazes me at the impact this great man had on country music ! I keep thinking what an impact if he could have lived 25 years longer. He was a genius at writing songs. Miss him. R.I.P.

  • goddamn, the genes in that bloodline skipped a generation

  • Classic "Country and Western. That new stuff is "Country" not within a bull's roar of people like Hank

  • ok I LOVE Hank but damn! This is the saddest song ever!

  • All I can say is Damn!

  • THE ONE AND ONLY The greatest singer on the planet every Thomas Haverstock

  • this is so true in my case

  • @notman1976 Sorry to hear that!!!

  • best contry ong ever

  • very sad song espicially if its true

  • @lee70ful

  • @lee70ful not if when i should say

  • Ive got to have this picture framed on my wall

  • As a father this song sends chills down my spine.

  • the version from his live Radio Show is even more gut wrenchingly sad

  • Hi Arthur: That is a precious picture of him and Hank Williams Jr., never seen that one before. Great old song. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Gwen

  • Aww, little Bocephus :D

  • Hank tells all our stories. As does III.

  • my dad broke this cd cuz of this song

  • The greatest artists are usually tortured souls. Hank is at the head of the class.

  • one of damn near every one of Hirams songs that send a chill down my spine

  • great song by the best country singer and writer ever in my opinion...wish folks would lay off the "drunk" stuff though. he was more then that by far. no drunk could put out so much great material in so short of time. maybe we should focus on that

  • No man wil ever be my daddy R.I.P. Terry Wayne Peace I love and miss you so much.

  • great song, great pic. thanks for sharing.

  • Chanson d'une sensibilité extreme

    Hank était un écorché vif

    i like all his songs

  • Died A Drunk...SAD

  • died drunk in a lot of pain obviously

  • @PictureThisful he died a man too, one that wrote and sang some of our greatest songs. i would hope we could see him as more then just a drunk., same as we see hendrix or cobain or phoenix or ledger as more than junkies. no disrespect meant...

  • So sad, he was only 29 when he passed away.

  • i can relate to this song cause i call another men daddy

  • This song works for daughter too

  • 6silhouette5 i take it you got a kid some where that someone else is bringing up

  • i've got three kids that aggravate the shit out of me but i would give my last breath for any of them and would never foresake them theres a difference in daddy and sperm donor real men take care of thier kids. any man can make them but a daddy to raise them and that goes for women too

  • @gfacekilla43 HELL Ya!!!!!. IM raising my wifes, son as my own, his old man is a piece of shit. and still likes to say he is going to get him a bday gift but always flakes out. Take care bro!!!!

  • i agree with you as long as that parent is a parent and not a worthless piece of shit. my mom died when i was a kid and my old man stuck it out my wife had a son b4 we was married and the bastard never even saw him never did shit for him i'm the only daddy he knows and i say honor and commitment overrides abandonment and any blood he may have involved i'd probably put a bullet in that sorry fucker if he ever tried to act like he was his daddy

  • I say this. I believe this. No person can replace a living Father/ Mother as long as that true person is alive. Step Father, step Mother--Bull sh**. Blood is blood and truth is truth there is no other truth, period. No matter what people say! The biological Mother or Father is reality!

  • @6silhouette5 you obviously did'nt have an ol man that beat the shit out of your mom in front of you everyday for the first 8 years of your life, and then after the divorce would rather drink his all his money away and not pay his child support or ever see his son while his ex-wife and mother of his child worked 50 hours a week in a hot ass factory just to make ends meet. i don't think you have a clue what REALITY is

  • @pokeyj37846 I can relate to the first part of your story. It was a ruff 8 years growing up with that abusive drunken ass-hole. He's 80 now and I've forgiven him. I had to. I love him...He's my Dad.

  • i love this song just become a fan myself... it just does make me see how different times were.... these days women boast about their blokes being in prison on jeremy kyle and shows like it

  • i love that pic and this song wat an honor to be the son of hank williams

  • what few people know is that hank was a great singer and a very talented artist and im a great fan but in his life he was plauged by depression and had very abussive relations with women. he was talented but sorry to say it, he was an asshole.

  • Say what?! You call yourself a fan of Hank's & you even recognize that he suffered from depression (a disease) & then call him an ass hole? Come on. That's just being harsh for no reason. We're ALL ass holes at one time or another & all have our faults. Who knows exactly what happened with his women. Judging based on hearsay is never fair. He's been dead for sixty years. His sins are long forgiven by everyone but you apparently. Celebrities aren't worse than you or I, just scrutinized more.

  • I have the radio version of this song (when hank did his own show). The steel guitar does the "whistle" after hank sings "My son calls another man daddy" line.

  • My wife calls another man DADDY, LOL!

  • My father used to sing Hank Sr. I totally grew up on Hank, Ernest, Patsy, Loretta, Tammy and even Lefty Frizzell. All of the classics

  • hank knew life lived life will live on forever thanks posting

  • the saddest song ever made.

  • i am 49 and grew up with my daddy playing hank wen i ear his voice it brings tears 2 my eyes

  • My father would tell me the same thing

That is why he told me never to become a bride. He said they dont make them like your daddy anymore.

  • King of Country, Plain and Simple.

  • i lost a brother at sea i'llnever forget how much he loved this guy and so do i he too had a guiter and sang all his songs and truly did a good job his voice was just like it i miss him so much he was only 34

  • Sorry about your brother-I can relate. I lost my sister 4 years ago-she was 46. She was also a Hank fan.

  • this song toyches home God forgive the sinner

  • i love this song

  • i like this song .because my son father is in jail all his life.so now my son calles my daughter father his dad. he was never there for my son.but that alright

  • Hank Williams was Gram Parsons 20 year early. Or Gram Parsons was Hank Williams 20 years late. Beautiful, anyway.

  • i love this fuckin song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
