This song is, IMO, their best song since 1982's "Don't You Want Me" - pretty good for an 80s band having a hit in 1995. Not to mention the song made it into the top ten on the Radio & Records chart that spring.

As for the band having new material in 2010, I wouldn't bet on it having any top 40 hits in the US. Blame it on modern artists such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, T-Pain, and other artists/bands that are dominating the charts nowadays.

This was seen as a sort of 'comeback' project at the time. It was a hit and played on VH1 ALL the time. It definately wasn't cheesy, a classic THL song, it fit in well at the time with other synthpop stuff at the time :)
