I understand this is old and all the stuff I'm going to mention were not available back then but if you get that frame, sky high bars, primo anyelator stem, fit shiv II forks, odessy hazard light rims. Profile cranks, and some animal or Sunday tires. Ohh and a shadow conspiracy chain....that would be a light as fuck bike! But because it's eastern and I don't trust it...I would switch this frame for a S&M LTF frame :)

let me tell you guys a bit about bikes. i could care less about weight, the sownds that it might make with either creaking crank arms, or a loud hub,or who makes it. but if i can ride it from paint a to point b, AND do that while doing tricks, AND not breaking anything on the bike or me, then its a good bike

Its all about how you like it, and how the weight is balanced out, if your total bike weighs 19lbs but if your front end consists of 17lbs and your frame and back end have 1lb each then you will not be able to bunny hop or pull of any decent tricks

Another reason I like light bikes is cuz. It doesn't land so hard. I had a 33 pound bike and it landed to hard it made tons of noise and my ankles hit the cranks a lot too. And bikes can also break easier if they land hard. So with a lighter bike thats not a problem. But 17 pounds is way too light. I prefer something like 23 Lbs. And this bike you can't even add pegs on it.

titanium itself isn't light, its just "light for its weight" is like this - 1 cm2 of aluminum is as strong as 0.3 cm2 titanium.

And since most bikes are used to been made out of aluminum or steel, it makes titanium harder to weld and it makes it unstable.

And eastern has reputation on most broken cranks and stuff.

1 eclat tibia crank is broken by the time 15 eastern have.
