  • The way all the videos on the right are the originals of songs glee covered...

    +

I CANT STOP LISTENING TO THIS!! JUST ONE... MORE... TIME....

  • @moomoofan11 I co-wrote the song Free Your Mind with Michael Jackson and named the group En Vogue. It was during a time I was writing the song Vogue for Madonna. The "primate" is for my sweet Bubbles which MJ would bring for me to play with, Tiger was the nickname that Michael Hutchence of INXS gave me, the deer for the song "Bambi" by Prince who I started writing songs for in 1983, and the rooster on her head because I wrote the song Rooster performed by Alice in Chains.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • Looks like Tyra.

  • Great song from the '90s!!!

  • @princesssookeh yeah, that is true. In the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s the music had a concept

and the musicians must have good voices and there were no casting shows which exploit people and which candidates doesnt have it only good looking.....

  • @IGiveAShitAboutYou Music has always had its generic radio nonsense. If anything todays age has more awareness and knowledge than ever. Its not like people had the internet to explore other bands outside of the Beatles. Its all the could know. but now you dont have to have it shoved in your face, you can look for things with real concepts and heart.

  • Hands down one of my favourite songs of all time!!

  • I love this song, I once sent it to a ex girlfriend as her folks were colour prejudice and we were forced to split up :(

I guess thats some eastern europeans for you.

The irony of it all - foreigners hating other foreigners in a racially tolerant foreign country.

  • Dawn was always my girl

  • Perfect example of what girl groups are missing now : Live Singing , Class & Sexiness .

  • Love these fine ass women!

  • Sexy and classy,,,,

  • We need more artist like this now! In the 90's, you had people with good enough voices that it could work with any genre. Just look at Fiona Apple in that goofy zach galifianakis song. It's a whole different style than what she normally does, it has intentionally silly lyrics and she still works!

  • 87 people need to free their mind

  • I luv the message behind this song!!

  • Classic. It's a shame we're still dealing with these issues in the 21st century.

  • 86 people are dumb deaf and blind

  • I love these women....loved them ever since I was a little girl, and ntm they are rockin the hell out on this jam.

  • En Vogue. I will NEVER forget you. As long as my heart beats, you live.

  • Style meets Voice

  • Mittchel Pritchard Flash Mob!!!!! LOVE!! nnaaww poor Cam

  • hahahaha people are saying En Vogue is real compared to todays artists, are we kidding

  • @domotime2 I'm inclined to agree with "people".

  • Both of my heads are interested right now o_O ....doesn't really happen much when I listen to music these days.

  • the 90's had some good songs

  • I think all four of them are absolutely fantastic.

  • One of the seminal videos/songs of the era. Still resonates. Free your mind.. and the rest will follow... before you can read me, you've gotta learn how to see me...being profiled while shopping... woot-woot, Oprah profiled while shopping in London at a prestige store not so long ago...why, oh why... free your mind...

  • is that Cynthia from RHOA in the beginning?

  • I heard this for the first time in years on VH1 Soul a few weeks ago:D

  • this group gave me so many boners as a young boy.

  • Wow... these voices.... powerful, majestic....

I miss the days of REAL divas!

  • R&B could be cool as jazz, bluesy, funky or in this case red hot rock.

  • I wish this was in in HD. Their moves are great - even if they aren't synchronized with each other. The song is hot.

  • Free Your Mind And Your Ass will Follow``Giorge Clinton Parlament Funkadelic

  • shame black people cant be more tolerent of gay people. They demand rights fo rblacks but deny it for others,..

  • @25fitguy okay...what?

  • @25fitguy try not to view folks as such a monolith. i'm sure there are pro and anti gay rights people of all races.

  • @25fitguy I would much rather give it to afro americans than to gays any day! The bible doesn't say anything about blacks- it does say gays are ethically unacceptable! Accept that fact!!!

  • @25fitguy ALL black people?White's ,asian's etc... have just as many homophobes. How ironic, you're trying to fight ignorance by making ignorant blanket statements.

  • Kelly Rowland told "Little Mix" a Teenage Girl Group On The British Xfactor Tonight

That They Are The Next En Vogue???!!!

Little Teenage Girls Like Kids Tv Singers to En Vogue?

No Wonder Kelly's Ass Is Flopping

  • Love this song

  • lol i grew up with this music

  • I love this!

  • 4 of the sexiest women ever in music..........love En Vogue

plus they are from my home town of Atlanta

  • 81 narrow minded people dislike this song for telling them the truth

    what a shame !

  • 61 small minded and shallow people disliked this song for telling them the truth , what a shame !

  • THIS IS MUSIC!

  • Probably one of the first mixtures of r'n'b and rock...trailblazers fo sure!!!

  • @tali1210girl ...not necessarily. If you listen to early R&B (circa 1950s) you see that there necessarily wasn't a distinction between rock and R&B...both genres stem from the Blues. They just diverged on different paths.

  • Where are they now? Thats a come back I'd pay good money for.... Brilliant!!!!

  • They should still play this on the radio

    Might help some people out.

  • 81 people cant free there mind

  • the lyrics are great. free your mind out there

  • This song will be forever relevant.

  • This was a great song then. It is a great song now.

  • I want the picture of the screaming man from the background, anyone?

  • i love this song my turned me on to this song XD

  • what bomb azz sound and of course what a great great song. i loved it then and i still love it!

  • I wish more female artists were like this, they feel raw and cool, not fake. I know Rihanna was trying to have this type of attitude/style for awhile but it didn't feel real. Peace&love

  • @Fashion4life Well, both the image of Rihanna and En Vogue were created by record labels. There is nothing "real" about it. Neither of them has ever written a song in their life. It just so happens that both hit the "nerve" of the public (and were specifically designed to do just that) at that time and you like one more than the other.

  • @Duiss I don't understand why you have to be a song writer to be a real artist. The pipes on these ladies sure are real.

  • @TheIncredibleDanaB sorry, that sounded a bit derogatory. You don't need to write songs to be a "real" artist. There are several artists who started out as only singers and became producers, and song writers like Justin Timberlake. There's so much more to an artist than mere singing, performing on stage and the image (which imho is what many artists are about today). People often forget that a good album takes so many people to produce. And even the sound-engineer plays an integral part.

  • @Duiss I really don't care. Just enjoy the music.

  • @Duiss The members of En Vogue have written songs, both on En Vogue albums and on solo projects. Granted they weren't many songs that they wrote on and they shared the writing credits with their producers, but they have contributed to some of their songs.

  • @aroundtheclock well, you replied so i thought you would

  • @Duiss en vogue did write their own songs...

  • @24Ornella sure, check Denzil Foster's and Thomas McElroy's discography to see how many.

  • gives me chills everytime!

  • Lame ass song

Basically, it's about being a sell out prejudice ugly lost soul spirit self-hatred biter black woman. LOL

"it doesn't mean i dont like, my strong black brother" same thing a racist white person says when they get accused of being racist "i have black friends" LOL

    Trash

  • @SoulKidVids WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR ISSUE??? SHE IS SAYIN THAT EVEN THOUGH SHE MIGHT DATE OUTSIDE OF HER RACE DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE HATES BLACK MEN OR WOULD NOT BE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM

  • Comment removed

  • Pedro...to be prejudiced means to have preconceived notions regarding a person or a thing without knowledge of the facts. Listening to the lyric with that definition in mind, you'll see that the lyricist is not being derogatory towards prostitutes. If I always wore a bow tie and white shirt folks "might" think that I am a black Muslim. If they dislike Farrakhan they might treat me accordingly, never taking the time to find out I simply love bow ties.

  • always brilliant

  • It's a great song, but it has prejudice in it. "Doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute", so what if you are? Would it make you less important if you were a prostitute? Are prostitutes not worth respecting? Would it make you worse than the rest of the people because of being a prostitute? A song written with prejudice about prejudice. But as usual, they rocked it.

  • @PedroTerra Some people judge us on how we look and dress. I was mistaken for a prostitute once when in actuality I had gotten all my shit stolen including my clothes and ID and the only clothes I had were the ones that I had on which were club clothes.

  • I still have this album on cassette, I can't bear to throw it away! This song is the pinnacle of girl groups, no wonder everyone after sounds like bad imitations.

  • I fancied all of them ladies like crazy when this came out!!! Happy memories. Great track.

  • This was my first CD I ever owned! Ha Haaa!

  • @Neequu78 Mine was Kris Kross' All Krossed Out. Haha! I suck!

  • holy fuck this is what mitchell flash danced to in modern family LOL. freeeeee your miiiind!

  • Hands down BEST FEMALE GROUP OF ALL TIME!!!!!

  • The video reminds me of a scene from the movie the bodyguard with Whitney Houston

  • Pussycat who? These girls rocked harder than any of these divas today!!!

  • There are those songs that no matter how old they get are just that good. This is one. Stands the test of time and is still extraordinary. This whole album is awesome.

  • So true...freedom from prejudice...

  • watching this clip en listening this song... goosebumps!

Dawn Robinson will not appear on their upcoming album, though she will continue to tour with the group.

  • I honestly haven't heard this before and I think it's really good!

  • Omg did anyone else think of "Queen of the Night" by Whitney Houston?:-D

  • @ilovemuusic58 I was thinking more of Janet Jackson's "Black Cat" but that sounds like it to!

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, DO free your mind and stop playing the race card 24 hours a day seven days a week. Learn to work, obey the law, and stay around and actually raise your children instead of expecting the government to do these things for you. Now tell me I'm racist for saying these simple truths.....

  • @jwilson07 Nope, not racist at all. In fact here's more "truths" for you. The majority of people on welfare and receiving government assistance are WHITE. You knew that, right. Also, did you know that the WHITE MAN was the inventor of the race card and it's usage. The colonization of Africa whom the indigenous people were referred to as dark skin savages ( they weren't ). The colonization of the Americas and eradication of Native Americans or as they called them "Red Skin Devils" (they weren't

  • @jwilson07 See, long ago the White Man invented the concept of White Supremacy to convince themselves and the world of their superiority over all "Peoples of color" Which is why i'm certain white folks like you walk around with superiority complexes...but as we all know a superiority complex is nothing more than an outward manifestation of one's inferiority complex. Now tell me i'm racist for expounding these truths...

  • @jwilson07

totally racist if that is aimed at just black people. Your statement applies to all colors. I see you didn't heed the lyrics to this song.

  • Mitchell Flash Mob^^
