I'm thinking about build one of this and i would ask in your experience, an engine of 700 hp as american seed prepares it too much for the car with normal tires? i mean, i can have traction even with road tires or it's boring loosing traction even on 3d gear?
I would like to push the trottle even for fast starts in first and second gear without be always frustrated of the traction.. think you this is possible or i should put too much attention on the trottle and start always with very little gas, or is better 600 hp for the road and street tires? sorry for the answer that may be silly, but i never driven a car with 700 hp on 1000 kg even without traction control! ;)
@lallerooo1 hey lallerooo1, you can buy a traction control system that will work with cars exceeding 1000bhp, that should stop excessive wheelspin... plus as an extra you can get a Launch control setting which means when you push the L.C. button it creates a secondary redline on which full throttle will redline at maximum power and torque e.g. 700bhp & 550+ lb/ft @ 5500 rpm... perfect for the dragstrip....i seen a 600 bhp Ultima GTR reach 62mph (100km/h) in 2.23 secs and 100 mph in 4.8 secs
is the car automatic ? i mean, your left hand is on the steering wheel throughout the run

@lallerooo1
You'll have trction issues with 700bhp only if you want too. Easy on the throttle and you'd have as much power as you'll ever need!!
You'll be able to spin in 4th though at over 120mph!!

@lallerooo1
Even with 600 you'd spin upto 3rd if you want. I'd go 650bhp and just ease the throttle on - same as any light, high HP car.
Good luck

how sweet was it that the sun lit up the track just prior to this run?!

Hi Pearly - I think Mark's Skyline and that crazy Grenada came in a different category - modded perhaps? The Ult won [cough] 'Standard' category.
Cheers
