I was looking at the auction items before it started and noticed that Xenogears and wanted it, but I had little money left after the whole weekend. Because of that I ended up not even staying for the auction because I probably WOULD have "done something stupid." But it's pretty cool to hear that you're the one that ended up getting it. And that's crazy about the Final Fantasy. Glad you didn't get too caught up in the excitement to make a regretful decision.

You've got to be careful in those auctions...they're set up so that the excitement and emotion cause you to spend more than you want...not to mention the competition and the 'I will not be defeated' attitude most of us have.

I got Uematsu's signature and the rest of the Earthbound Papas that morning after their Q&A : ) My friend and I literally RAN out of the room to get in line for that early on. They signed the inside of the FFIV Complete Collection cover.

I almost bid on the FFI cart (around the $500 mark), but decided not to. Main reason was for a charity write off. I think half the reason it went that high was for that and the audience reaction as well.

But in the end there NCS, what you did do for that charity is get it a larger donation that it wouldn't have received had you not bid. An extra $500 can help a charity in so many different ways, especially in this economy.
