Amasing how quickly this escalated even with the offecer's calm demeanor. Cop did us all a favor this guy was cocked and loaded and was going to shot someone. Good thing a trained cop was there because this idiot was going to shot someone. If he'll shot at a cop he'll shot anybody. Good riddence. This dead man was well known to police as earlier they had contact with him....reported in the paper that he was told not to drive home and the officer waited till he left at closing time and then followed him...this is a murder.........why no backup no hand mark to the back of his vehicle spoiling for a fight and never expected a gun....thank god the officer was not hurt put this video to task against training footage........known violent offender and 0 backup?

this cop did exactly what he should have done and I think some people think he went overboard because of how many shots he fired.....first off police officers are trained that if they are going to fire their weapon they empty the magazine, second, of the 14 shots he fired only 1 actually hit the guy killing him instantly.....which shows how much harder it is to actually hit someone in real life than it is in the movies or on TV

South Carolina police officers and Highway Patrolmen are taught to shoot until the magazine is empty.....obviously within reason they wouldn't walk up to a man with his head blown off just to fire the rest of the shots....and that would have to take there background into consideration, but the idea is not to assume a man is down or dead just because you hit him a couple of times.

Whenever a police officer shoots anyone for any reason it is standard procedure to perform an investigation to ensure all rules were followed, etc. It doesn't imply that the officer acted inappropriately.
