  • This is a great example of not appreciating what you have. As a child I rode all the Dayliners I think and just assumed they would always be a fixture on the Hudson. Now they're gone and there is precious-little left in the way of video or even still photos of them.

  • What a great video!

I never had the opportunity to travel on the last vessel of this unique fleet. However, when building a model of this vessel ALEXANDER HAMILTON, it awed me to witness how beautiful her lines were. Not just in building a replica of her, but also of the WASHINGTON IRVING, HENDRICK HUDSON (flagship), ROBERT FULTON and, of course, PETER STUYVESANT.

When building these models, now sold, I was awedt how each differed; yet distinct with the "Dayline" logo on their stacks. Wow.

  • Where's the Alexander Hamilton? ...and do you have a recording of her whistle?

  • I used to ride these when I was very young. Loved it!

  • If possible one should be placed on here about the Hudson River Day Line Steamer Alexander Hamilton since that is the last of the great Day Liners.
