  • This gets me so pumped up for The Dark Knight Rises. This film is so amazing, why have I not seen it before. The quality is just as good as about anything you'll see in theater.

  • Pretty cool short. I wish it was longer.

Please check out my Batman Short Film with Zsasz, Black Mask and Scarecrow

    /watch?v=W2m4YEX9Sy8

  • Bruce willis

  • He looks like Owen Wilson

  • Are you in filmschool?

  • fucking aursome ! great

  • Very awesome short video. Deffinately one of the best Batman shorts I've seen on youtube, or in general for that, with nice use of an underused villain in my opinion.

  • This is awesome, there should be more!

  • As an experienced director / cinematographer with 6 full length features under my belt, this short looks awesome! Much respect to the guys that put it together. Keep pushing guys, keep pushing...Bravo!

  • this shit is EPIC! you have to, and i mean HAVE TO! make more to this. make it a fan movie. The Riddler looked epic in this.

  • Amazing film guys. Just makes me disappointed that riddler won't be in TDKR

  • Amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed this video!

  • This seems like the intro to a movie that I would like to watch. Alot.

  • what kinda camera did you film this with?

  • @Daniel2GIGG from the looks of the credits, it says Shot Entirely on a Red One Camera.

  • 5 minutes is not enough :P

  • well that was rubbish.... why the hell did have to end so suddenly! ....this is lame........

but no seriously dude that was amazing, but now I need more of this dammit!

excellent work man could easily be as mehdic00 says be a Gotham Central TV show and nice work for not showing much of Batman, I think if you do do more and have Batman appear you should keep in the darkness and keep up the mysterous and supernatural arua about him to the other detectives or something like that

  • Great great!!!!

  • great sort guys. Well acted, well directed and well edited.

  • there's no batman film without Batman in it.

  • This was awesome work all around!!! You got me hooked from beginning to end. Bravo!!!

  • This looks just like a Gotham central Tv show...

  • Uh...wtf

  • Thing I hated were two things. The use of swearing and the Riddler laughing. It doesn't allow a broader audience and the Riddler laughing reminds me too much of Jim Carrey. I'm obviously nitpicking because its great.

  • SUBMIT THIS TO EVERY FESTIVAL EVER NOOOOW ASAP!!!

  • Bravo!

  • This deserves way more views...

  • @alishakeyes What are you smoking?

  • @filmmakerjoe27 What aren't you smoking?

  • Comment removed

  • @Curien247 lol

  • what was this shot on?

  • This is really great professional work. Some real talent surrounding this project!

  • this was AWESOME! i want to watch the rest of the storyline unfold. =^.^=

  • Nice short film. Guy's not a very smart rat to leave his fingerprints on that folder. ;)

Still surprised Nolan didn't go for the Riddler since he likes those mind twisting characters and stories. Gotta say that Riddler laugh had a Joker like quality to it.

  • @soanis HAHA first thing I said! :)

  • Fantastic job. Good luck!

  • Good job guys. Hope this brings you more work.

  • Very well done !

    Good luck, guys

  • Dialogue seems a little weird. Too informative.

  • Good Job Guys, that was really good

  • Excellent work! If I was Chris Nolan, your phone would be ringing. Good luck, I hope he sees this. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

  • Good work.

  • @Curien247 As did I! HA!

  • Its obvious the eyebrow dude needs to stop being so serious lol but over all pretty good

  • This would have been a fantastic opening to The Dark Knight Rises.

  • Pretty decent shit!

  • That guy is trying way too hard with his eyebrows.

  • @Curien247 Me too.

  • why did the riddler try try to do a joker laugh

  • what kind of camera did you use to film that? I am guessing it was the RED? if it was a DSLR camera what were the lenses you used?

  • @Smoogle Watch the credits.

  • This sucked.

  • @antgolub lol same.

  • production wise this short looks nice, pretty well acted and well shot.

    - Felt as though the second city fly over shot was cut too short. Needed a little more time to match the timing on first shot.

    - The next shot felt very flat and I'm guessing it was just a still image because there was no parallax on any object

    - warehouse shot could have started looking down at a lower angle for continuity from previous shots

  • Slick.

  • no Chris Nolan....why oh why???

i didnt want to see Catwoman or Bain in third movie!!!

  • @Acks2000 Remember when he cast Heath Ledger as the Joker and everyone said the same thing about a gay cowboy playing the Joker? It will turn out alright haha

  • Very intelligent criticism in the comments here, it's worth a read.

  • very nice!

  • good and all, but needs more.

  • YAWN

  • Excellent!

  • Great job!

  • I hate to say it, but this was more style than substance. The RED makes just about anything look like "a million bucks."

Having both of your characters gaze into a focused area for a prolonged period of time takes the viewer out of the scene. For the dialogue, less is more. The kill was "dark and dramatic" b/c the dialogue lulled me to sleep. As for the Riddler reveal, the Riddler doesn't waste his riddles on henchmen, esp those who look like they couldn't care any less about the riddle.

  • @blinkuldhc

The riddle was an insult. The Riddler has contempt for the "rat" and he's telling him he *intentionally* used him as bait. It seems like the "rat" got the message after the Riddler left.

  • very well done

  • Very impressive! I hope someone from the film ends up working on a Nolan film!

  • Great stuff guys! Looks like a million bucks.

  • Very nice. And all the more painful considering recent announcements on which characters will and won't appear in The Dark Knight Rises. I hope this leads to bigger and better things for all involved!

  • That's amazing!!! PLEASE PUT OUT MORE!!!!!!!

  • Great job guys.

  • Nice!

  • MACGRUBER!

  • Technically ok, but soooo sloooow :I

  • @Irmeli28, I don't think it's about whether it's "slow". It's building anticipation. It's really well done! I hope the director has more installments planned.

  • Very nice. A few things though:

    1. In editing, never use fades unless you want to establish a passing of time. Hard cuts would've been more effective. 2. There's two much empty audio between the two detectives. A lot of that could've been cut to make the scene move alot faster. 3. The actors are too focused on their lines. They need to be doing some other actions like facial twitches, hand movements, eye rolls. anything besides just reading their lines to one another.

    Very nice though.

  • @weneedrevelation, I never got the impression the actors were "just reading their lines to one another". It's just more deliberately paced then an action film. The pauses between dialogue are meaningful--the [SPOILER] murdered detective is getting irritated as the film progresses.

And facial twitches? Really? Just to fill up time? That's not acting, that's attention deficit disorder for the viewer.

  • The sad part is Chris Nolan doesn't even use the internet. I'm not even joking. Apparently he doesn't even have a personal mobile phone. He gave his reasons, but I forgot what they were.

  • This was so cool! Hope to see more!

  • This was brilliant.

    That is all.

  • Incredible work guys! If the villain of the piece was handled this way in the Nolan Movies I would be very interested! Love to see more of this in the future and I hope you find your way into the movie business, Nolan or otherwise.

  • Really great stuff guys. This is the kind of work I aspire to every day. This hard work won't go unnoticed.

  • cool short film, great job guys!

  • Good God Almighty! This is truly one of the most impressive things I've watched in some time. It looks like it was plucked from a $200 million film. Remarkable.

  • that was fuking amazing!

  • Wow! Who the hell are these guys? Looks like it's straight off of the big screen. Very professional. Seriously amazing work you guys. I have a feeling we'll be seeing much more from Films Entire in the no so distant future!! Looking forward to it...

  • nice work!

  • Amazing! Great editing, perfect atmosphere!

Loved the cinematography, too... Really shot on the RED? Which lenses did you use? CP.2? I loved the cinematic motion in this piece! Great use of Dolly, Steadycam... What type of lights did you use? ARRI?

Great job! I really love it!

  • Great job, hopefully you will get spotted!, have you posted this on other sites too?

  • not bad,Id like to see more of these shorts, however cut down on the cursing.anyway nice work and please make more.
