Well if you want an iPhone then I would recommend the regular 3G, because it's really inexpensive now and has basically all the same features, except for the overheating part.
Unless you REALLY need that compass, in which case go ahead and buy the 3G S, I was just telling people not to upgrade from the 3G, because it's the same phone, it's just more money.
If you're not attached to an iPhone I would recommend the Samsung Omnia, it's the best phone I've ever used.

It has FOUR new features! All of which have been included in other phones for years!
And it over-heats all the time too! But hey, it's shiny and made by Apple, so people buy it.
People, don't buy into this garbage, if you have an iPhone 3G, don't upgrade, it's not worth it.

Well if you want an iPhone then I would recommend the regular 3G, because it's really inexpensive now and has basically all the same features, except for the overheating part.
Unless you REALLY need that compass, in which case go ahead and buy the 3G S, I was just telling people not to upgrade from the 3G, because it's the same phone, it's just more money.
If you're not attached to an iPhone I would recommend the Samsung Omnia, it's the best phone I've ever used.

I really have a thing for sonys. I got a sony ps3, and a sony laptop, both great they never, ever break. I'll check out the omnia, but what do you think about the ecrisson?

The only Sony Ericsson I've ever used was like the first model, and it was pretty crappy, but I don't really know how the current models are.

Video recording, uploading to YouTube from the 3GS, video editing (trimming), voice control, compass, and much less sluggish. The 3GS is a better buy for only $100 more.
