Well, that's exactly it. Why did the police shift their approach from arrest to violence? People climbed the barrier in order to be arrested, and the police handled it with tact and grace. After 3 min's (in the video) of this dynamic, which is working perfectly -no violence, a peaceful assembly all around- the police get violent. And that's how riots happen. Police start shoving, hitting, spraying chemicals without cause, hoping to provoke a response that can justify force.

Imagine the level of care we could provide for wounded soldiers if we spent only $1k/sec on THEM.

I've been using a smaller screen size w/ h.264 adjusting the quality up to just under the 100 Mb limit on 5 minute segments. Quality not nearly as good, but then, it was all hand-held with a Digital8 camcorder way over my head to get a view above the people in the way. I'll need to do side by side trial and evaluate after it comes out of the black youtube box. I'll check out the HI-DEF site. How do I find you there?

That is public property and really there was no reason why any one of us should not have been allowed to cross that line. We had every right to try to take our pleas of anti-war to our congressmen. I was sitting on that wall a bit further down and there was no problems whatsoever. THEN the cops decided they didnt want us on there anymore. So the law is bendable to what THEY want.

From my perspective, a superior officer was discussing the take down of the woman (in black with short hair who ended up not being put down properly) with his officers and they did not want to take anymore customers at that time.
