@tsmz65 Video translates to 47 "KiloBYTES" downoad speed. Your claiming your speed to be 1.28 "MegaBYTES" which is 4g speed, I think you mean 1.28Mb(Megabits) which is 164 KiloBYTES. MB, Mb, KB, and Kb all mean different things. "B" is Bytes, "b" is bits (smaller).

@ZachRdz 4g speed is anywhere from .5 mbps to 15mbps. My virgin mobile speed on 3g is 1.3mbps down, and 600kb up, with a ping of 100ms. I can actually play xbl on my phones wifi tether without anything but a small shot lag, which isnt bad at all. so yes it can actually be up to 5mbps on 3g, especially when you live in the country where the servers dont have so many people on them..... think BEFORE you speak

I just got my Optimus V today, and my first test was 1816/836, and the 2nd went up to 1928/857. My Sprint phone (Samsung Moment) tested at 1958/631. I think I'm definitely keeping the Optimus. It is superior to the Moment and the speeds are definitely acceptable. I just returned an Evo Shift 4G, which had exceptional speeds--when it worked. When it wasn't working, which was most of the time, I had no internet connection while it switched to 3G, and, a few times, I didn't have 4G or 3G.

@aad4321 no, edge can reach 300Kbps, though most networks cap it at 150-250Kbps. but it doesnt matter this guy was probably doing the speed test at a bad time, i.e. heavy traffic on the network, cuz ive seen other videos where this phone reached 1.5 Mbps.

you can use myxer with the android phones. myxer has a application. its free.

I don't think you can use myxer with any virgin mobile phone. You should be able to download from mp3 websites like beemp3.com. I"m not sure yet. I haven't received my phone but if i remember or someone messages me in a week or so I will be able to let you know. Or if someone else who already has the phone wants to see if beemp3 works. you can also find mp3s on megaupload.

Excuse my foul language, but DAMN! I spent $100 more on my Intercept when it first came out, now theres a phone thats better in almost everything for $100 less... I wish I could foresee when these things happen. Hopefully VM will release a high end Android phone like the EVO or at least the HD2 in the future, but even now they have unmatched service and pricing!

ok, so I bought the Intercept like a month ago. I like it, but now VM came out the Optimus V, now i dont know if I should wait for the the 2.2 update that is coming in spring, or sell my intercept and get the Optimus. and yeah, my intercept gets 1462 down and 203 up

@Davidw369 im in the same boat. I think once the intercept is updated (even though they have said spring, i bet it will be summer...) then i feel both the phone's speeds and abilities will be roughly equal. yes the optimus has more memory but the intercept has a faster processor. not to mention, the intercept has a real keyboard which is a huge plus in my book. yeah, im slightly upset I'm essentially paying $50 extra bucks for a keyboard, but hey, i already spent it so why fret. lol.

@beginner4beginners apparently the optimus has several processors so the graphics has it's own chip and doesn't slow down the main processor like the faster and overloaded intercept
