  • WHAT A PRADA STORE In THE MIDDLE OF NO WERE

  • @JesswestXO - Yep

  • lol hippies. you fellows seem like prada's target demographic

  • lol funny

  • Yep, there's some weirdos in west Texas alright. I love the reflection in the windows, two bikes and a whole lotta nothin else.

  • @Trinith - I'm convinced that the reflective glass and mirrors in the store are part of the art. You look at the store and you see yourself and the desert. It adds to the cognitive dissidence.

  • I assume that it's a Art Installation. Right?

  • @Baggahammers - That is correct. It turns out that this part of Texas has attracted large numbers of artists of all kinds.

  • i would lock pick the door if i was there :)

  • @gdfschimpi007 - I've since learned that the first night it was stocked all the inventory was stolen. Since then they've installed a security system.

Also, the purses have no bottoms and only right shoes are displayed.

  • @gdfschimpi007 i wasn't planning on stealing anything, lol i would just look around even know there is nothing to look at :0

  • Very Interesting!!!! LOL

  • To me purses and shoes only serve a purpose. Give me my tank bag and hiking boots and I'm happy. : )

Sounds like you had a fun time!!

  • @onejillion - I did have fun, thanks for watching!

  • At first I was going to send you a message about bein in NYC to meet up... then to find out that you are the middle of BFE at a prada store... classic.. is the place still operative considering there are bags in there?

  • Waahhh HUH??? Oh man....those hippies musta been stoned out of thier minds!

  • Just in case it's not obvious, this is NOT a real store, it's the coolest piece of art I've ever seen!

  • Should I ever feel the need to visit a Prada outlet, I guess that I'd rather stop by that store than one in Manhattan. Thanks for the heads up!

  • @dprider02 - It's a hoot! Thanks for watching.

  • Just great! Couple of real nice bikes and the open road. Have fun.

  • @hawaiisidecar - It was a lot of fun, thanks.

  • It's amazing what you'll find in the middle of nowhere.

  • @pulse0000 - Fer sure!

  • Talk about random!! WTH!!??

  • @maikeli7 - This thing caused my poor little brain so much cognitive dissidence that it almost melted down!

  • I recently read a ride report on ADVrider where the author (Vermin) came across this store in the middle of nowhere and was thoroughly confused by it.

  • @brentm099 - He's not the lone ranger!

  • Too funny, an upscale shop out in the desert. lol

  • @RC62 - I couldn't stop laughing the whole time I was there.

  • Never heard of a 'Mad Map'. Sounds like fun.

Maybe Pat would like an ST1300 OR a Concours1400 so you and her could ride together.:->

  • @KeukaRyder - Map Maps make tour maps for good riding destinations around the country, and also provide Garmin GPS routes to go with them.

Miz Pat is convinced that I'll 'tump over', she says she'd ride a trike but not a motorcycle. I'm old, but not that old yet!

  • @JimNtexas I have a gambit that night work with 'Miz Pat'. I'm 61 and my wife is 59 and she road with me 8 days and 1400 miles AND I've only been riding 2 years.. Ain't love grand!?

  • What the!? What an odd thing having that store out in the middle of nowhere. How bizarre.

  • @davidhowellca - I have to admire the twisted minds that came up with this. Thanks for watching.

  • Very nice bikes indeed! I'm sure it goes without saying that you two are definitely enjoying yourselves.

  • Sounds like you put a few miles on over the weekend. From the related videos that Prada is quite popular.

  • @L0udP1p35 - 1431 miles in four days. :)

  • Amazing.....pity they missed a sale....lol.

  • That is awesome! And so random...I would love to visit some random place like that haha. Not much there apparently...but still neat.

  • @ToastToGo - Seeing this in the middle of nowhere is what makes it neat. And when the sun goes down you can ride 20 miles down the road and watch the 'Marfa Lights' UFOs from the official UFO viewing area.

  • @JimNtexas UFOs...YES!

  • Prada in Marfa, well I guess they do get alot of tourists. I have traveled so much of that area but never saw the Prada......

The McDonald observatory outside of Fort Davis is really cool and has some twisty roads as well.

  • @britex3186 - I rode out to Alpine from Austin on Thursday, spent Friday and Saturday riding with my friend, and rode back today. We did go by the observatory and I took a picture that I'm going to enter in the Two Wheel Texans November photo contest.

Sadly, I took very little video.

  • Jim, I have an idear now. Can you emailed me some GPS coordinates or give me some directions to that place? :D Great vid!

  • @BusasaurusRex - The Marfa Prada store is on Highway 90 about 1/2 mile north west of Valentine Texas. According to my spot tracker the coordinates are 30.60345, -104.51845 . It shows up if you zoom in with Google Maps.

I don't know why, but it just tickled me almost to death, which is why I couldn't stop laughing while I was there.
