  • where would you hold the bar

  • Hi Chris

How many reps are we looking to do? Whats better a heavier weight or lighter? Tsc has totally motivated me into some really good habits. Thanks for your work...

  • what size is that shirt bro, extra medium ?

  • I always get thigh bruises when i hang clean, how can i reset to finished deadlift form without hitting my thighs so hard?

  • probably the only good hang clean tutorial out there! thanks for actually knowing what your talking about unlike the rest of youtube!

  • is it hard on your spine?

  • Are you supposed to jump?

  • do hang cleans work your forearms a lot? nicevideo

  • @admbjj From what I feel when doing a couple of reps, yes. But it's not really a forearm workout. That burn in the forearm is mostly due to the gripping of heavy weights for an extended period of time.

  • how do hang cleans help you become faster??

  • so is the shrug like an upright row typed motion.....

  • @fusiondistro Not really, because you're not pulling with your arms... it's the explosive opening of your hips that moves the weight to the rack position.

  • Thanks Helped me a lot

  • 1 guy is a fat ass

  • hey man im super weak and need something to start with and i dont really have acces to much equipment, so what do you recommend i start with on my journey to fitness?

  • @anibioman use your body wight ex. push ups, body wight squat

  • I tried it and the bar hit my neck, during the catching phase

  • This video reminds me of Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.

  • is it okay that i hang clean more than i power clean?

  • is it okay that i hang clean more than i power clean?

  • hey where did you purchase the bumper plates?

  • This is by far the best tutorial I've seen on hang cleans. As soon as my stupid lower back injury heals up, I'm going to be giving these a try. Thanks for posting the video.

  • Hm, you like explosive lifts> Have you ever done kettlebells? The snatch is my favorite exercise, and it's really explosive! You put your whole body into it. Tons of fun.

  • This is a great video. Can you please make a power clean tutorial? Olympic lifts ftw!!

  • pop, caught it, done. lol

  • Nice tutorial. I was thinking about watching tv but after seeing this im now going to the gym to practice :D

  • @TheInitiation it's saturday, you should do my 300 challenge! CK.

  • is this bad for your back?

  • This is actually a pretty good tutorial - good job man!

  • how tall are you? i wanna know cuz im 5'8 and i wanna dunk lmao

  • I'm 6-3, I was 5-8 when I was 14.

Check out my new video "Let's Make it Happen!"

    CK.

  • thts how tal i am and im 14

  • Haha, 2:54!

  • haha every exercise is your favorite exercise

but thanks man great demonstration that helps alot

  • hahaha, I do have a lot "favorites," but not all of them... for instance, machine curls, leg-press, quad extension, hip abductor... Pretty much anything with a machine.

But FREE WEIGHTS, Love them! Thanks for watching.

    CK.

  • whats wrong with leg presses and machine curls.

leg presses are pretty much all ive been able to do recently since i cant even do squats with my wrist (stabilizing the bar hurts)

  • I always prefer free weights. There are a lot of reasons for this, they are expounded upon in my article "Rise of the Machines," on the TSC website. Maybe I'll vlog about it. However, if you injured or doing rehab machines can be useful.

    CK.

  • Also, and what at least i've experienced , is that since you dont have to work to balance the weights , you can actually focus on working the muscle you are working on to 100% failure. Like machine curls, since I dont expend energy balancing the bar, i actually feel that sometimes they give me a harder workout for my biceps especially on days im not psyched up. And mentally, im only focusing on the feel of that one single muscle, instead of trying to control many. hope that makes sense

  • sorry my post should have been written with a question mark... it sounded kinda mean, sorry about that

anyway yea i mean i generally agree about free weights too, yet i think there are other reasons to use machines besides rehabing. The first would be that it reduces the risk of injury, in that you cant move in an unnatural range of motion (like many people like to do free weight exercises wrong)

  • No worries... I gotcha.

I think we'd both agree that as long as you know what you're doing, free weights are equally "safe."

Also, it's the balancing of the weight that I believe is absolute essential. If you can't balance something who care if you an pick it up? In this way machines develop non-functional strength. I'm all for being big and strong, but I'd also want to have the balance and coordination to use that size and strength. Otherwise you might as well be a statue.

  • thats true haha, i guess it depends on what you want out of your workouts, but obviously functional strength is better like you said

  • Good demo.

  • My bad, I see you've already talked about them. I'm such a memory mong!

  • hahaha, no problem! Thanks for the "double comment."

    Best,

    Chris Krueger

  • The 1st view.... awesome. I'v never seen these. My gym is pretty crowded with gear so would probably piss people off if I do these ha ha ha! Cheers for the info though.

When are you releasing your next blog (vlog???)? I'd like to hear your views on cutting supplements like Thermabol and Hydroxycut.

Thanks again, your very entertaining, and keep that Joe Boyce guy in check lol
