It seems deliberate, probably the conductor's idea, because they both make the same change to the score, shortening the pause and stretching the following note. It hasn't improved on the original...
No life to this production, from the stage direction to the performers. Seems oddly flat.

Yeap. There is a mistake at 1:35. After Susanna's "La dama honore" should be a pausa.
