@TheOrginalPaprika Yes, this is, but with small pumps, you can achieve MUCH higher speed, and if you design the thing using an RCX and associated motors, (with a small pump) You could go even faster.

Weren't there pressure tanks available at some old technic sets? You could use that. Then you could set it to replenish the air when not used.

@cyshtoph to the best of my knowledge, yes. However, I don't own any, and I'm not exactly swimming in liquid gold. (It would hurt REALLY bad, and I couldn't afford it)

TIP: You could have take avay that spring on the pump. I did it and mine pump is faster now.

@gokart55z I am aware of that. I use my pumps for more than one thing, and as such don't really feel like removing anything in a way that could cause damage to it. Thanks for the tip, though.

@vacputer Just a tip: If the audio of your recording doesn't matter, putting inoffensive music (like, say, Louis Armstrong) over it is always a good thing!
