I really enjoyed your review. You did a good job of describing what you did and did not like about the movie. Harry Potter is special in that it is enjoyed both through the books and the movies and you covered those comparisons. Along with the analysis though we could also see your enjoyment of the movie. I liked your free flow of ideas. Like a friend telling you about the movie that they went to see.
I honestly decided that I would not read the book again before watching the movie because every time I did it before I just came out of the movie disappointed and its why I stopped watching the movies. I just couldn't handle being disappointed with it being in 2 parts (although I did remember the big mistake of the Ministry of Magic in part 1). At this point I think every potterhead has to realize the books and the movies are separate entities, 2 different ways to tell the story.
@Brnboy313 I realize that. I thought that emphasizing some parts that happened to be more emphasized in the books would help this movie be more cinematic and dramatic, though.
Still, I loved this film. I can't believe I forgot to talk about Snape and the pensive, but both were done perfectly as well.
(for what it's worth, there's enough non canon instances within just the movie series itself, I've given up bitching about plot changes)
I would have liked to see them battle in the Chamber of Secrets.

Good for your first movie review! Although I have a few minor suggestions:
1) Look at the camera and make it so you are closer to it engaged with us.
2) Cut it down from 14 to maybe around 4-5?
3) Microphone buzzed occasionally :/
Still really interesting though :)

@InstrumentManiac
1- That is due to an eye condition of mine but I'll do my best.
2- I'll do my best to script the next one.
3- External HDD spinning up and I forgot my pop filter. Whoops :P

@InstrumentManiac I hear the buzzing now. It didn't do that pre upload, so it's a YouTube issue.
