  • Very nice... Does this still have the original hurst four speed?

  • Really, really bad ass ride.

  • Shades of Steve McQueen's Bullit

  • sounds good blue ovel i 'am a bowtie by heart but any old muscle get my blood pumping

  • That's one of my favorite things about using a classic Stang as a daily driver, merging onto freeways is extremely exciting.

  • this looks like I90 Washington! i love this place :)

  • i think i would end up dead if i owned one of these things...

  • with BMW this would be all flat out

  • Were you merging onto I-70 in Glennwood canyon in Colorado? Also, at what altitude did you run that 12.90? Bithchin ride!!!! I have a 70 mach with a clev!!!

  • @pnorski I was merging onto I90 in Issaquah, Wa. Time was at Pacific Raceways, Kent Wa. Just above sea level cool air in June

  • I noticed that was I-90 ! I live in the woodinville area . Nice BOSS@teesbosspony

  • I just found my new fav. car :D I want to buy a 70's mustang and do something similar :D

  • Nice =D

    I love it.

  • bad ass ride.

  • custom carz are for pusses. Leave it at stock or else it looses value and becomes trailer trash.

  • Now THAT'S the way to get on the freeway! I'm tired of these of farts going 20-mph on the ramp This is the way it should be done.

  • Dude I wanna lick you car! lol nice boss 302

  • IF American designers back then made Their Cars more Aerodynamic then theyd be winning races here and there easy (look at the GT40) but then again we wont have these Awesome looking cars wont we?

  • 1 hell of a badass ride man stangs 4life!!

  • it actually sounds like a 89-95 SHO 5-speed goin through the gears, though this is probably yet faster than one

  • an easy 140 plus,-on brake.

  • that is very nice. sounds great.

  • NICE MUSCLE!

  • Sounds awesome. Nice piece of road to rip through the gears

  • Damn in CA you get some merging points that are like 100ft.... This on ramp is slow car friendly.. haha.. I have a 3.0 ranger and sometimes struggle to get up to speed, I could imagine some of the 4 bangers.. This is my reasoning for need a faster vehicle is to get up to fwy speed quick in those short on ramp mergers -=) haha.. Nice ride !!

  • just need a 5th gear...

  • ha ha...gettin on I90 at issaquah eh!...good place if any to ring her out...lol, nice ride man

  • @joelgies

    High Point Way.

  • the boss 302 is a BAD ASS motor,it is the 5.0's daddy without a doubt.,J.R. DEFINITELY inherited a "pair" indeed.

  • Very nice motor!

  • what mods have you done to it? sounds mean. great car man.

  • Pro- built Balanced & blueprinted, JE custom pistons, ford racing rods, arp fasteners, custom solid cam, mild head work. canton oil pan, MSD etc. long tube headers with Flowmasters. Dynos @ 430 HP @ 7000 RPM

  • You just ran the RED light my friend!! GREAT CAR!! Owned 3 stangs in my younger years '68 convertible, 76 "Farrah Fawcett" fastback (nothing to brag about) and my last one a 1989 Mustang GT 5.0.

HAVE YOU DRIVEN A FORD LATELY?

  • The red light on the right is for right turns only. If you look to the top left of the screen you will see a green light. The only time I red light is at the track!

  • Take a look at the "Mustang Boss Ford Raving"- clip to get a hint of what that 302 is capable ;P

  • haha you told that kids whats up.

    but anyways amazing stang!

  • awesome stuff...longer vids please!!

  • Lovely

  • music to my ears.

  • I too owned a 1970 Boss 302, and had forgotten just how throaty that 302 sounded. :-)

  • that boss looks like its a monster.

  • Car sounds AMAZING!

  • i have a 1969 boss 302 with 500 horses on motor and it will smoke any new car teesbosspony is right u dont have to except it im 13 i inherited the car when my father died and i can drive and prolly smoke mrmrsdel

  • Cool man. Yo I have a 2005 V6 mustang and later this year Im going to pull the engine out and put a 302 in it. Me and you are going to have to race: You 69 mustang 302, weight unknown. Me: 2005 mustang 302, weight:2800 lbs. And then we will smoke mrmrsdel.

  • ya sounds good man

  • In 1973 I owned a 1970 Boss 302 purchased used for $2,300.00 with only 32,000 miles. There was also an interesting twist: the Dual Point distributor had been blueprinted by 'Dyno Don' Nicholson. The Boss 302 is an incredible car, no question. However, the harsh reality of it is that today's newer Mustangs, equipped with an engine such as the 4.6L SOHC V8, will utterly devastate not only the Boss 302, but the Boss 351 as well. Accept it.

  • My Boss has run a 12.90 @ 108 mph on street tires with 3.70 gears. There are no NA 4.6 mustangs that pull that mph in the quarter, so I don't have to accept anything.

  • while that is quite impressive, there was a back cover article in muscle mustang about a guy with a 97 mustang cobra who ran 12.90 without forced induction. the car had nothing but bolt on parts like gears, exhaust, drag radials, etc. you have to consider the contest. youre car is at least 40 years old. this was a modern car with dual airbags, cold a/c, cruise contro, massive stereo, etc.

  • That's not stock though right?

  • @teesbosspony you ara right those cars were vastly more powerful than today's ones exept for the gloriuos new 5.0 a truly beast back to life.

  • @gorgeusjames come 2011,the 5.0 is back.

  • @teesbosspony Great answer

  • @teesbosspony mrmrsdel just got pwned!

  • I may be wrong, but wasnt the bigger Boss (the 429) also an SOHC? I mean, yeah its back in the day, but that technology WAS around at that time.

Also, look into the Ford 427 Cammer motor from 1965. Think about its capabilities, and then remember that that was 42 years ago.

My point: never underestimate old school muscle.

  • Nope. That had a Cam, Lifters, and Pushrods.

  • The boss 302 of 1970, was built to race. Today's stock GT mustangs, however good they are, aren't built to race like the boss. Now, if your talking about a Roush, Ford Racing FR500, Saleen, Hennessy, Steeda, Mclaren...those are built for today's racing enviroment...they indeed could smoke an orginal Boss. Standard GTs just wouldn't be able to keep up.

  • I agree. I believe it was Car and Driver that awhile back took a 1970 Boss 302 and pitted it against a stock 1997 (?) Mustang, the engine displacement I do not recall. In any event, it blew the 302 away in both the Quarter Mile and the Salom. Likewise, there was another review of a Z06 Corvette against a 1969 427 Corvette. The latter is still I think trying to catch up even as I write this... ;-)

  • Gee, that doesn't say much for the Boss 302. The 4.6 in the '97 GT made what, a whopping 220 horsepower? LT1 Camaros' walked all over them. But I've never heard of a Mustang from that era performing in a straight line, much better than a Boss 302 Mustang.

  • not if your putting all the shit that my dads putting on his boss clone, dude, my dad is throwing a cobra modified 302 in ours, then he's putting a holley supercharger, a holley blower kit, a 4 v edelbrock carb, racing valves and ports, modified piston heads, and a tremec 5 speed racing transmition

  • a boss 302 is a boss 302 because its got a boss 302 engine. blower and supercharger would be the same thing... and you dont replace ports... you port something to make it larger... like manifolds or heads. yeah

  • fucking A man,,,,I have a 302 as well, Orange,,BAD ASS rides !!

  • Is it original, or a clone?

  • you are one lucky s.o.b. i would kill for a boss 302

  • Very cool indeed. Hope to see you down at XXX Sept. 16th at the all Ford show.

  • Is this right at Issaquah getting onto I-90 East?

  • Making a little music for the car fans at xxx

  • beautiful shaker!
