I still remember the first time I heard this, I was young but I thought it was a woman singing for years till I realized Switch was the group. I love the early '80's, the young stars, the early T.V. shows, the newness of actually having money, the energy, the innocence, before the streets became chaotic and the clubs were not known for fighting.

Although we cant let horrible childhoods dictate our future, Bobby is a perfect example of how child abuse can adversely affect us in adulthood...Some can move forward yet some seek drugs, alcohol, & destructive behavior to cope. Fathers& Mothers, please nurture & PROTECT your kids. If you can't, find someone who can. Don't be part of the reason their lives end up in turmoil. (My two cents for today)

@WonderWomanFan4life Bobby DeBarge was the lead singer of this awesome group "Switch" and OLDEST brother of El and Chico DeBarge. He was abused by his father. Bobby died in '95 he was only 39 (R.I.P.) You know the whole DeBarge fam was very talented, all 10 of them but most of them struggled with drug addiction. Bobby struggled with drugs too and the Aids was prob a result of needle sharing. "Switch" has other jams too.

I saw all the relatives names, mother. I clicked james debarge turns out he and janet have a child named Renee, then i clicked michael jackson turns out Joe has a daughter by some white chick and a grandaughter not from Katherine. Janet jackson has 4 kids based on site 2 by Dupree she is a liar

I think she had a child from their relationship but it was a big rumor back then that she had an abortion, believed it though. James Debarge looks really bad today. I can't comment on this song enough. I still love it!!!!! Bobby Tommy, the DeBarge brothers look so much alike and even identical at certain phases thruout their lives. I loved SWITCH and have so many great memories built around their music. I wish we could have gotten so much more from them!

Awww!! This brought tears to my eyes. Never seen a tribute to Bobby done so beautidffully. He really was a handsome brother and a very talented one. His voice had such clarity and strength to it. And to think he didn't like the way he sounded in the beginining. El sounds alot like Bobby, but not completely. He was gone too soon!
