  • Aprox. 20k per term in the category of Arts & Sciences at NYU.

$ 11,927.25 per term at UCI, the safest place on earth on the account of statistic.

9k differences and Irvine is way more prestigious.

......... why even start a riot when you could just transfer to a better school.

  • @Last7Azn UC Irvine is nowhere near as prestigious as NYU.

  • Haha imagine if Russian, Chinese or Mexican military troops invade the United States and these kids are responsible for our defense. Hahaha

  • Are these "Hipsters" or "Yuppies?"

  • @LikaLaruku Hipsters. They don't turn into yuppies until they get a job and start wearing loafers.

  • next time, when your wondering where your money goes, JUST ASK YOUR TEACHERS OR YOUR COUNCILOR! I have lost faith in colleges. and btw, about 40% of those kids are going to run away because they dont want to get hurt.

  • I could take a guess where the money is going....I live in Manhattan so let me think for a minute....Okay I'll take a shot.

    1. Your incredibly expensive indoor gyms

    2. Your incredibly expensive buildings and building maintenance

    3. Your increcibly expensive Dorm Rooms and the Upkeep

    4. Your incredibly expensive Tisch Academy film tools and accompanying Computers

    5. Your Teachers (Who should get "tolerating pussy ass hippies" bonuses monthly

    6. Taxes for all the above

    Get Fucked You Brats

  • I don't get this, if they don't know where their money is going, why don't they just leave. I mean, if it is such a big deal, why not just fuck off and let real students keen to expand their minds into the school.

  • @berrybanoo

its not even their money, it is mostly their parents' money. Hell, at least one kid didn't even know how much their parents spent to send them there.

  • Throw them out! A private university has the right to charge, and withhold enrollment to any one they want. Bye Bye

  • I hope they got expelled

  • This is bloody hilarious... I don't even know what to say. How student protests have changed.

  • This.

  • I hope NYU has the balls to expel all of you.

  • Because this is obviously relevant to... the war... yep. You nailed it buddy. Can I slap him now?

  • Good work NYU and solidarity from London!

  • What the crap is this protest about? Also, are these people hippies?

  • I think that their are a few state schools these kids could go to... a private school is clearly not for them!

  • if you cant afford nyu go to another school maybe?

  • This is a protest of tuition hike in general pay attention.

  • totally correct.

  • This is so embarassing.

  • Asking a major school like NYU to negotiate about tuition is like trying to stop water from flowing. The students chose to go there, just like I did, knowing full well the cost of tuition. The sad reality is that to NYU, you are one person who can choose to go or not to go, and if you don't go, they know someone else will. I agree that the prices are outrageous, but these students should be lucky that no criminal charges were fled for trespassing...yet.

  • Personally, I couldn't stand to sit down in a room with your group. You present yourself as a bunch of hyped up, popularity-driven goons. If you want your school to present budget information, that's one thing. Your speakers tangent off into their own interests and gripes, and while you maintain a distant theme of transparency, you aren't entitled to know everything.

  • What's with all the thumbs downs? Some damn kids on here bitching up the place.

  • nothing but a group of punks!!!!!!!!

  • why does this seem that the comments are being heavily moderated?

  • "The students received mass support from organizers, activists and the international community"

LOL! They received ass support, clowns.

  • Yeah, these tools are amazing.

  • Their enthusiasm is admirable, but they're actions are inexcusable.

  • Che was a mass murderer. Interesting group of people you look up to.

  • well done TBNYU and good luck. it takes a lot to get up and take action like that.

  • very excellent.

I feel that the solidarity pouring in from everywhere is far more important to the worldwide peoples movement at this time, than whether the 3day siege is perceived physically as a "success" or a "failure," etc.

I think New School flashed something great, and NYU just amplified that by like 40,000%. know what I mean?

    yippie!
