  • We need to stay calmed. Anyway what is going to happen is going to happen. I just got to a job search engine (bit.ly/NewJobSearch) that helped me out to find a job in less than a month. That is pretty good since I had been about a year unemployed. Just check it out, fill out your profile and upload your resume. They pretty much take care of the rest.

  • It's obviously not a matter of low taxes -- we've had low taxes.

  • @Mindraker1 No we have not, were a high tax, high spend nation...

  • if only we could all live in the economic powerhouses of nebraska and the dakotas.

  • is anyone else noticing how unemployment is spreading much faster after Obama took office? the more i watch this the more i feel the mainstream media has completely duped america...>=(

  • The 2011 Budget shows Total revenue $2.57 trillion Total expenditures $3.83 trillion ... $738 Billion : Defense... $738 Billion : Social Security $879 Billion : If you combine Medicare and Health $251 Billion : Net Interest $122 Billion : Veterans $122 Billion : Education etc... A Deficit of $1.267 trillion this year ALONE! Add to that a Deficit of $1.171 trillion last year That's $2.44 Trillion Under Obama in only two years How long can we sustain this?
  • notice when the purple and black began to take over the map, and where it started...

as soon as it became obvious that Maobama was going to win, and starting in the die hard democrat sectors (coast and big cities), it spread like the plague.

that videoright there is "change you can believe in" because you can see it with your own eyes. the liberal progressive "plan" for america is nothing but shit and nightmares.

keep beating up the people who provide jobs, they can take it...

    lol

    morons.

  • the right wingers want people broke and desperate

more for them less for you

  • Your all a human resource that is no longer needed your all getting starved out like the slaves of Egypt after the building of the Pyramids‘. The Stone cutters of America are done with you. The elite are using Electronics to take your place of most jobs just like the cotton jin took the place of slaves back in the 1900‘s. by 2015 most people today will be starving or extremely poor like the people in the mid west. You will be one of two categories Rich or Poor. Welcome to the New World Order.

  • The unemployment in my area doesn't really seem so bad, There are many companies constantly looking for workers here, I get constant offers for side jobs making more than $100 per day, the movie industry is in need of hands and pay very well, so why did my area dip into 10% unemployment?

  • @Zooni2: I think it's good that you separate "the wealthy" (there was some year in the eighties during which one of the Kennedy's--I think it was Ted--paid $730 in income tax) and "the productive." I hear a lot of innumerates use "the rich" as a synonym for "high income earners" as though they were the same thing or these were the same people.

The problem you highlight is a serious one, and I think the solution is a flat tax. We should never penalize people for doing more good hard work.

  • @stonej82 Mr.Stoned J, your screen names says a lot about you. LOL I do know the wage & beni's for flipping burgers isnt competitive to a govt job, but that sounds like a personal problem. You should have paid more attention in school before you dropped out. LOL

FYI, I bought my house 15 yrs ago. I didnt get into trouble until the govt cut my wifes a I's pay by 15%. And yes, I will continue to whine as I continue to work my 2 jobs to support me, my family and of course you. You need me Mr. Stone

  • @copgonzo Your assumption just shows clearly how out of touch with reality and your finances you are. Your wages were cut 15% and you cant afford a house you bought 15 years ago!!!! You obviously spent more than you should have. As I said before the 15% cut is just the start as people soon are going to stop paying you for a gov't job that is way over the true value of your position. (did you see that they are freezing wages for gov't employees?)

  • @stonej82 My screen name refers to my given name and does not really have anything to do with smoking weed. Also I do not flip burgers. I probably make as much as you do but at least when i go to bed at night I know I am doing it in the private sector. I need you? Sorry looks like your as clueless about who needs who as you are about purchasing a home. I pay your salary bitch and we are sick of paying losers like you to do jack shit bc its a gov't job. Get ready because change is coming!!

  • Thanks to you fly-over-state, obese, uneducated racists, we're dipping in for another round. It's a good thing you guys like your land and your guns so much, because your going to be hunting and gathering for your food quite shortly.

  • @claritynow Can you really be that mad at the bread basket? You sound jealous really, that you won't be able to hunt and gather. Cleaned a 150 pound deer Saturday, been eating good, sharing it to with all me compodres. Hate is what's killing this country, don't point fingers when your hands are dirty.

  • Capitalism! Didn't someone once say that money is the root of all evil? The guys at the top are certainly harvesting good crops.

  • @quietplace101 So many get this wrong! The bible says For the *"LOVE"* of money is the root of all *"KINDS"* of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. ~1 Timothy 6:10

  • What is the source of these stats? The graphics are impressive, but are they even real?

  • @quietplace101 yep they are. next question?

  • both parties NEVER lied about ONE THING; both parties say it is the OTHER PARTY'S FAULT; AND THEY ARE RIGHT; THEY BOTH ARE TO BLAME; PEOPLE NEED TO GET OVER THEIR PARTY LOYALTIES THAT ARE GOING TO RUIN THEIR LIVES IN THE LONG RUN(WHICH IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER)

  • When will we get more 2010 data? It stops in June .

  • The economy is fixed?! Are you really that much of a moron? We will be suffering for years to come from the disaster behind us-and that's only if things go well. We should celebrate? There are still MILLIONS of people jobless and suffering. Our country is going to crap because of ignorance, and the proof is anywhere you look. YouTube comments is one sure place

  • Instead of making wars , go take care of your country

    fucking morons

  • @Foreigner316 At least someone knows Wars do us no good. Welfare won't do us much good eather because when we all need it they will take it away.

  • yeah thanks to the rethuglicans who ruined this country.. thanks bush/cheney!

  • @pauljsomers Who cares about Bush/Cheney, the economy is fixed! Everything is ok now. Didn't you hear about the "Summer of Recovery?" Everyone celebrate! Thank God we have the greatest leader in the history of human civilization to fix this problem!

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... can you back that statement up with facts, or are you just whining?

  • @pauljsomers

    lol...retard.

pull your head out of your ass.

the map clearly shows the world going to shit when Maoobama won and the plague started in democrat strongholds. the only places still not black or purple are in republican areas of the country far away from the coastal and big city douchebags who wack-off to the thought of running a country like a robin hood movie.

you fucking bobble headed morons who think punishing the people who produce are killing this country.

    please die.

  • "As of 2007, the top 1% of households (the upper class) owned 34.6% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19% (the managerial, professional, and small business stratum) had 50.5%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 85%, leaving only 15% of the wealth for the bottom 80% (wage and salary workers)." -G. William Domhoff

  • You call this "change you can believe in" or "hope" ???

  • Now thats HOPE and CHANGE you can believe in.

  • I know right? @blt40

  • Try a different solution - The Northwest Front:

  • Kansas is doing good because of their farming and livestock...food for thought...

  • How about we see the next 2-3 months after that. Since i'm sure the data is available now.

  • The choice we have is not between the nation destroying spending binge of obama/pelosi/reid; and the over-spending of Bush and the Republicans/Democrat congress. The choice we have is between staying on our path to becoming Venezuela, and electing a true conservative congressional majority like we did in 1994. A majority which cut spending. Cut taxes. Worked with President Clinton to reform welfare.

  • But let me be perfectly clear. The choice we have is not between the nation destroying spending binge of obama/pelosi/reid; and the over-spending of Bush and the Republicans/Democrat congress. The choice we have is between staying on our path to becoming Venezuela, and electing a true conservative congressional majority like we did in 1994. A majority which cut spending. Cut taxes. Worked with President Clinton to reform welfare.

  • Some would argue that the choice we face is to go back to the economic policies of the last eight years, or move full steam ahead destroying our great nation with wasteful spending, paying off special interests, more bloated government and a lower standard of living for all Americans.

  • Let me make myself perfectly clear, Mr. Teleprompter in Chief. Yelling all the louder what is spoon-fed you on your teleprompter, does not make it any more right. Besides the public is no longer buying the BS you continue to peddle. Actually, most democrats don’t even seem to be buying it. No wonder why Russ Feingold was no where near you.

  • We tried it your nearly two years now your way Obama. We're laughing at the superior intellect. Looks like your ego is taking us full speed over the cliff, come hell or high water.

  • We tried it your nearly two years now your way Obama. We're laughing at the superior intellect. Looks like your ego is taking us full speed over the cliff, come hell or high water.

  • Politics comes from the Greek words Poli- meaning 'many', and -tics meaning blood suckers.

  • there are options ... we can get up and do something about our situations .. make a change, do it for your future. mpbtoday com/dlg

  • None of this is going to matter when America becomes MexiMidEast (MME) look for it on the nearest flag flown in a town near you!!!!

  • Actually Obama is trying to rid us of corporate and political conflicts of interest. The Republicans are lying and confusing people by telling us what he is doing is called Socialism. Republicans alway create hoaxes, lies and labels to mislead their sheep.

  • Can't wait for the fall of the money god. The collapse of this country will cause complete chaos. People, stock up on your guns, save your ammo.

  • fuck this country and fuck its cause.

    new york should just secede

  • I would love to see this updated soon, so it can be shared around before the midterm elections.

  • Thanks for the revised numbers.

  • @skeptic121 +1

It's like asking your loan officer about bankruptcy while you put your loan app.

    in.

  • Nice try. The democrat party has had CONTROL since Jan 2007. It is either intentional or incompetence. Obama "creates or saves" 500,000 fewer jobs each month.

  • I read a lot of comments about Democratic party "control" of Congress. Actually, the party's majority in the Senate is so slim that it's no way even close to "control," especially with filibusters and other traditional means of obstructionism available to the GOP. Republicans will continue their lock-step obstruction right up to election season--then begin chanting about how Democrats haven't accomplished anything.

  • We need to make a statement now by voting in Novemeber. Let's make our voices heard.

  • Unions, the highest tax rates in the world, and stupid frivolous lawsuits have driven industry out of this country and bankrupted many small businesses. It's the greed of the common man that has killed this country not the politician or the rich man's greed. Got to keep the welfare state going. Having a baby out of wedlock is like winning the lottery for life. Free food, housing, education opportunities. Accountability for stupid acts = sterilization of male +female who can't support that child.

  • Do you think "unemployment" is trending in the right direction?...if not, be sure to remember in November, that if they're IN, vote them OUT

  • The "NEW SYSTEM" should be a reverting back to the Constitution that our founding fathers set up for us. That has allowed us to become the worlds greatest economic power. And has been the abandonment of these principles that has gotten us off track.

  • Thank you Mr Bush 41, Mr. Clinton, Mr. Bush 43 and Mr. Obama for advocating freeeeeeeeee trade, which helped destroy our manufacturing base. In the 1950s through the 1970s. more than 30 percent of employment was in manufacturing. Now, manufacturing accounts for less than 10 percent. We wonder where the jobs have gone. Give the republicans and the democrats a firm boot print on their heads. They need to be pushed out into traffic.

  • Few Americans want to admit it but only one course of events will save our economy from a third world implosion. Our military must suffer a crushing defeat, like Vietnam, but all at once. If we lost all of our aircraft carriers in one day, we would get the message and walk away from our empire.

Consider how Germany and Japan prospered once they got rid of their empires after WWII. We need a Navy to protect our east and west coast, PERIOD. Ditto our Air Force. Put the Army on the border.

  • @Skeptic121

Agreed, we need to drastically cut back our military expenditures but your analysis of Japan and Germany is very flawed, you forget the Marshal plan which we the USA supported and paid for. You also forget how much the US provides military support to these countries even today.

The only problem with cutting back our military is we still have a corrupt government who will spend the new found budget surplus irresponsibly.

  • @mjs48130 Well, I certainly do not want our government to have a surplus. I want to STOP protecting Japan and Europe from a Soviet Union that no longer exists.

The best way to make sure our government cannot borrow any more money is to repudiate the debt we have right now. In fact, if we just start TALKING about debt repudiation it will be harder for our corrupt government to borrow.

    Let's get started!

  • Socialism and Militaryism is destroying the USA and Capitalism is saving China.

  • A picture is worth a thousand words.

  • Every generation needs to experience its Carter in order to see why overtaxing hard-working high-income producers (i.e. employers) doesn't work. Even animals respond to incentives, highly-intelligent people respond even moreso. Gut government spending and balance the federal budget and we will dig out of this mess.

  • @Tollerwahnsinn Unfortunatley the taxes on the wealthy at this time is at an all time low and taxes on the middle class are at a all time time. Warren Buffet challenged the top 400 wealthiest Americans. He would give 1 million dollars if anyone of them payed more in taxes than their secretaries. If a secratary pays more in taxes than a billionare thats a problem.

  • @Tollerwahnsinn

"High income producers" would clearly see that manufacturing a product in a third world country where labor costs are low is to their advantage.

you remarks regarding taxation clearly indicate your willing to be a participant in the current debate of taxation for higher income brackets. For motivations of your own. I would doubt any of the 'high income producers ' would be actually posting here comments more likely a lobbyist .

  • Agree the politicians are used as ploys and could not fix anything if they wanted to. USA is in too big of a mess financially and otherwise and too much corruption called credit has allowed those who use it to be taken to the cleaners. Where have all the jobs and money gone? People that believe they have any are not telling.

  • One of the best financial newsletters covering the financial collapse is The Dollar Vigilante. They have a free newsletter on their website covering all aspects of the US Dollar and financial system collapse

  • The most telling aspect of the video is the conspicuous low unemployment in the Washington DC area.

  • Does anyone here not yet believe that the Western financial systems have been/are being crashed by design? It’s not a “failure of capitalism”, since capitalism was buried alive in 1913 by the same dull-eyed, silver-spoon crowd whose inbred little bastards have stolen your wealth, your land, your dignity, your food and your water, and will ultimately steal your lives. Will you ever wake up?

  • @selec21 No! most idiotic americans will call it "conspiracy" with a bad tone, that one who speaks the truth is a total lune, look at what happened to Ron Paul, he was made to look ridiculous, yet he was always and still speaking the truth. As long as americans have their head buried in the sand or up their ass, they will never see the light!

  • @selec21 Tell me how capitalims, could ever exist in a world today, please do.

  • jcub33 - I'll grant u that it didn't happen overnight and that deregulation has alot to do with it, but the rich - tax break or not - are the ones who provide jobs for the working class. Tax them heavy and you'll really see unemployment go up.

But along with dereg why don't you add increased entitlement programs and extended unemployment benefits. When you can get a free handout why work?

By the way I didn't see any reversal in the trend since Jan 2009.

  • @toothmeister7 you can clearly see how successful that $727 billion stimulus program has been watching this map.

  • Easy to trick visuals simply by setting the threshold of RED color to indicate trouble at say 10.0.

However, if it was set at 100, of course you would NOT see this dramatic change in color.

Be careful of what yo think you see - always look behind the curtain.

  • @Zhorshik Its not a trick of colors, watch the unemployment percentage and its just as bad. These polls are taken by people who are still looking for jobs. This doesn't even add the people who stopped looking because they couldn't find jobs. If it was set at 100 of course we wouldn't see change. If we get 100% unemployment, either something has gone perfectly right or horribly wrong.

  • wow, the country just rotting before our eyes with those colours...

  • Hows that 'Hopey Changey' thing working out for ya?

  • @JavaClick you realize this didn't happen because of 2 years of Obama right?

    This didn't happen overnight.

It's called deregulation, gross spending and a White House that gave tax breaks for the rich.

    You're gonna defend that how?

Clinton left the W.H. with a budget surplus of $350 billion and Duhbya squandered it all in less than 4 years and tallied up a big tab now.

Palin is a moron and so are the other nuts you listen to.

    Take it easy. :)

  • @jcub33 ROFL, now it was a 350 billion surplus? hahah.

  • @JavaClick How's that trickle-downy, cut-the-rich-people's-taxes, run-up-the-deficit-for-30-years thing working out for YOU?

Do you really prefer NO change from how the economy has been run since the Reagan administration? NO hope?

  • I`am Staff laid off AutoDealerships. Parts Dept. People don`t have money too fixed there Cars and S.U.V. and Buy Parts. It`s Rock Bottom in Califorina.

  • I was laid off from AT&T at the end of 2008, me and about 12000 others, I have friends that were working there recently, just became unemployed too. They gave our jobs to contractors out of the USA. Oh well? Now I dumpster dive to make extra money besides my two part time jobs. You can find some good stuff in dumpsters sometimes. I sold my pick up and drive around in my used honda to look for work.

  • Keep on buying Japanese cars and Chinese rubber ducks rather than American made by American companies... this map will get a lot worse over the coming years. America kinda deserves it for sending it's industry to Japan and China. What did you guys think would happen?

  • Hahaha! You can't blame it all on the mexicans jumping the border anymore.

  • @mistermateriel Fact is most Mexicans have left Arizona, not only the illegals ones, but the legal ones too. But we are paying the prize for that too! lemons @ .40c each, green peppers @ .68c each, white onions 1.65 a pound, it only takes two to make a pound...Yep them Mexicans did keep our groceries cheap, them days are gone, since Americans don't like picking fruits and veggies at such low wages we pay for it @ the groceries.

  • @AdamantAtheist This is like the best post here. This is very true. I hope all the white racist dumbasses realize what they've done by getting rid of all the mexicans. Mexicans will work for close to nothing picking veggies and fruit. On the other hand ask a white person to go pick the veggies and fruit and he'll most likely want atleast minimum wage. And us buying the veggies will be paying more so we can pay the guys pay check.

  • Great job, sharing. Its so disarming watching it close in like that.

  • America: Destroyed By Design

  • If you have a job - perhaps this will give you some idea of how lucky you are.

  • this is a beautiful job.

could you do first and second derivatives too? interesting to see the velocity and acceleration of the spread - location of forces. waves?

  • totally agree with blizteria. everybody that is either pro republican or pro democrat is so wrong. after all these years, i cant believe the stupidity. their is so much wrong in this country. our borrowing is going to destroy this country. wake up people. get jobs back in this country and stop overspending. we cant afford so many programs. just look at the state pensions! they are going to break every state because they cant afford to pay them. bailout anyone!

  • notice it slows down in the last few months. The momentum that was going Jan. 09 - Jan 10 was clearly from bush, the slow down from obama.

  • @Catapult82 You truly are an Omaba sycophant aren’t you! Obama assured us that the unemployment rate would not go above 8% (as if that's good) if his bailouts were passed! Well, we passed that number a long time ago! The fact is, this administration is destroying the free market. The combined business experience in his administration = zip! We have a bunch of socialist/ Marxist theorists who don't have a clue what they’re doing running our economy (into the ground).

  • @Catapult82 Notice that the slowdown is only caused because most of the country has hit the last color in the legend.

You can go ahead and fool yourself like that if you want but kindly keep that idiocy in your own head.

    ktnxbai

  • Seems like Washington DC stays a cheerful yellow throughout the progression. Coincidence?

  • @jcr711 DUDE!!! I didn't even catch that! Good eyes bro.

  • @jcr711

That's a very good point. The jerks in DC always seem to have a job. I CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER! 48 of the 50 states have all lost jobs thanks to the demoKKKrats.

  • The dreadful jobs picture is completely the fault of the Democrats in Congress, who have owned the Congress since Jan 2007 and O-bummer. Dump the Dems and the jobs will come back. Who is John Galt?

  • Boy, good thing we got "free" health care! Now, I wonder who is going to pay for it?

  • @OmahaNan Free? You must be a retard.

  • I don't deny people are hurting, but this animation exaggerates how bad things are. Look at the percentages: the colors change very little up to 4.9% (or above 7.0%), but in-between that relatively small range ... WHAMMO. Pale orange to sinister purple. And naturally, most of the U.S. falls in that category. Methinks they're trying to scare folks.

  • @nasaguy so, change the colors ... make it sky blue instead of "sinister purple" ... it doesnt change the facts and if "folks" aren't scared already, they ain't payin' attention. The conservatives are scared that November may not get here, and the progressives are scared it will.

  • @nasaguy Thee the 17 people at my work - all long time employees - who just got laid off that this animation is exaggerated. Bologna! If anything it;'s worse than this animation suggests.

  • @bcfbasil - I hear ya, but just imagine if they used yellow to represent unemployment below 6%, and black if it's above 6%. Then if the unemployment rate across the nation were to blip from 5.9 to 6.1 %, the entire nation would turn black! All I'm saying is, they picked a color scheme that makes things look even worse than they are. Why would they do that?

  • @nasaguy LMFAO. You're blaming the COLORS they used in making the graph as the reason it looks so bad?

Are you really that stupid or are you just trying to trick stupid people?

When asked what is 2 + 2 I'll bet your answer is POTATO!!!!!

  • @Monkor001 - Yes, I am blaming the colors. The situation is bad but NOT as dire as this portrays. The government (under either party) has always sought to scare us into handing them yet more power, but they are powerless to correct this situation and they hope we don't figure that out. They can, however, screw it up worse if we let them.

  • @nasaguy The situation is actually more dire as the graph cuts off @ 10%. The government is so inept that I can see no way this showing of their complete fumbling of the greatest nation on earth could possibly be spun as something not their fault. Except Catapult82 tried to do just that with his toddlers interpretation of the above graph

  • Looks like something left on the BBQ too long.

It would be interesting to see this done for all areas. Add overlays for population, politics, tech level.

This picture is worth at least a few thousand words . . .

  • Whatever number you are using, it is NOT the national unemployment rate. I can't figure out where you are getting this number from, but the usual number to use is the TOTAL UNEMPLOYMENT rate figure from BLS release A-3. If you're using something different, you ought to have made that clear! The numbers you show are MUCH lower than the actual unemployment rate.

  • Unfortunately, and what will likely end tragically for many, we have yet to see the bottom of this since the elitists running the government have been delaying the inevitable by printing money out of thin air and bailing out banks, etc. that NEED to go under. We have yet to see the hyperinflation that will result once the "house of cards" comes crashing down. It won't be much longer folks. Do what you can to get ready! Read the Declaration of Independence. It points the way we need to go.

  • My good buddy Les Beachy sent me this little tidbit. Click full screen to view it better.

  • Nebraska doesn't look so bad.

  • Does this convince you there is a need for a Plan B?

  • fatality! total gangrape by osama, gop, bush, obama, and financial terrorists. wtf

  • Blame Reagan for dismantling our industrial base and busting all unions. Blame Clinton for NAFTA. Blame Bush for bogus wars and incentivizing outsourcing, blame Obama for not going far enough to the left fix it. Tax the upper 2%. Enough's enough.

  • @jcnycdude The upper two percent already pay 60 or 70% of the taxes. How much more can you soak them for before they just give up and hunker down, resulting in almost zero tax liability? The basic fact is that the "rich", even if taxed at 100% STILL don't have enough money to fix this issue.

Get rid of 80% of the FedGov and their wasteful tax and spend programs and you'll see a rebound to beat all rebounds.

  • wow...

that is very scary it's like a disease spreading all over the whole united states and we can never stop it from coming

  • So this is how 8 years of Republican controls looks like.... wow.

  • @rageatm111 actually look at the time line you commie fuck

  • @rageatm111 You mean the six years of majority Democrat Congressional control we've had? The President doesn't create laws, the Congress does.

That said, both parties are complicit in this mess.

  • @tryptyx Ever heard of a VETO? NO? You see the president has the power to veto any law passed by congress. I agree both parties are complicit. However Obama has no magic wand he can wave to undo all the damage Bush and the republicants did. Republicants have no answer other than the Bush tax cuts. All the republicants know how to do is spread fear to get the public distracted from the issues and to get the sheople to vote for them.

  • @flyankee941 Oh, I see. You admit that the Democrats had a hand in creating this mess and then still attempt to blame Bush for not Vetoing. Logic is apparently not your strong suit. Just keep blaming Bush and Republicans, fault obviously can't be borne by the ObaMessiah and his party of useful meat puppets. ;)

  • @tryptyx Dems are complicit only because they have no spine and have weakened every bill they have passed only to get the party of NO to vote NO. What exactly is the Republicants plan? Extend the Bush tax cuts, deny gay marriage rights, take away Americans right to freedom of religion(unless they are Christian), force women to have their rapists baby, and change the constitution. Wow your right they are really concerned about the budget and creating jobs.

  • @tryptyx Meat puppets, that is funny. I do believe it is the wacko republicants and the teabaggers running around worried about flouride, chem trails, birther conspiracies, evil clandesent groups out to take over the world, terror anchor babies, and a million more. It is so funny when you nutjobs try to call Dems/Libs puppets. You would believe the moon was made of cheese if Fox said so.

  • @flyankee941 hmmmm. 4.6% or 10%? gee hard choice. Blame whomever you want, but the facts don't change.

  • @tryptyx it has not been 6 years it has been four years and the the first two they had a majority but not full control. And they only had a controlling majority in the second two for about the first nine months, in which they should of rammed thru their total agenda instead of pussy footing around trying to get the repukes to come on board

  • Well.

    This is depressing.

  • @ every comment so far, congratulations... you're all retarded

  • Obama needs to create a jobs bill that puts people to work in public projects. It can not be just construction as was his original stimulus package. We need jobs in all sectors. They need to stop paying for unemployment insurance extensions and start putting people back to work. Sadly I just don't see it happening. Instead many will not be voting for Obama or the democrats next time around. They have done nothing to help us. How very sad...

  • We need unemployment insurance. Despite widespread unemployment, U.S. corporations are reluctant to expand in an uncertain economy and are sitting on $1.6 trillion in cash reserves, a record amount. Cash is piling up faster than companies can figure out what to do with it. Regardless of how many hiring incentives the government passes, experts say the jobs market faces a long recovery. Companies simply won't begin to hire workers unless they see a valid business reason to do so.

  • @TheBlackLesbian

The current conditions and policies makes it expensive to hire. Even a min-wage job needs $15/hr of productivity to break even and few min-wage workers are that productive. . Make something more expensive and expect fewer people to buy it. In this case the thing being made more expensive is JOBS.

  • This is in the huffington post today, along with an increase of suicide rates,

  • @malkooth I think you're mistaken...it's the Dems who want to enslave us all by making us dependant upon the gov't to take care of our every need....NO THANK YOU! Personally, I don't trust ANY of them....but I'll take a free market Republican over a Nanny State Dem any day!

  • Traders has fucked the world.. and they continue.

  • Tea Party Anyone?

  • "WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK TO RECOVERY" - President Obama May 2009

  • Blah blah blah...send 30 million jobs to HCina....you gonna lose 30 million jobs...WTF America...free trade is being driven by the GOP Capitalist Toolshed...they think all you unemployed folk are whiners, lazy, and leeches...when they rake it in every time they shift a job to a communist country. Don't drink the Hateraide.

  • That looks at bad as the Great Depression.

  • @rednano74 Yeah, like it's Obama's fault, you ass. Bush got us in deep and we will feel the repercussions for years to come. If you want to use this as a way of getting rid of Obama and put the 'no ideas' GOP back in power, the rich will prosper again but we'll the rest of us will be sunk for good.

And buy the way, the $700B Bush bail out had no strings attached. No pay backs necessary. Talk about 'clueless.'

  • @orion7747 the Dems have been running the show since 2007 when they took over congress dumbass. How many years after the fact are you Obamatons going to keep blaming Bush? Bush took office right when the dot com bubble burst and he turned that around without spending us into oblivion, expanding the size and power of government and raising taxes like the Muslim in chief is currently doing. As long as anti-business dumbocrats keep the current course, things will only get worse.

  • @pyronaught 'Muslim in Chief?' Dumbocrat?' What are you, 12? Bush spent us down the river with two wars without a budget line. His economic policies will haunt us for years. Go ahead, blame Obama, get him replaced by a Republicon. Unless you're rich, you'll be screwed for good. Wake up, they don't give a shit about you or the middle class.

  • middle 80's : "I save 2$ if I buy this chinese product. "

Nowadays: "I haven't got any money left, and I lost my job beacuse all factory are moved to china".

you call it Democratic desease? I call it Chinese desease.

I'm not communist and I'm not angry with chinese..,they do their work for an half price, but now we pay the consequences.

sorry for my bad english but i'm not american

  • wow... in Germany its around 6%.. no big change from 08 to 10... Since we HAVE communism here nobody cares about that. Big deal, you ll get taken care if the "bad economy" takes your job away. Only in Europe, with the "communist" way, we have to pay a lot of taxes. Cant say our gouvernernment is rich though. Most of the money still is earned at big companys. Taxes are high? So what, we do NOT feel the desire for a humvee if a small vw does the job really.

  • Someone needs to take a look at how Nebraska is avoiding all this.

  • great video. hope obama will save you!

  • Not a good use of the classification scheme. It is "how to lie with maps" to some degree. At 20% unemployment you would not see anything but black counties. Perhaps a better classification would address a more clear perspective of where the jobs are or are not. This is interesting nonetheless.

  • Why is Boise, ID doing so well? Hmmm...

  • Since when do tax cuts create unemployment? The gov't just gets less money but that won't stop them from hiring more people. Is it possible that tax cuts create employment? Just maybe? Even Sen. Baccus (sp?) D thinks Obama's tax hike is a bad idea.

  • This is what makes liberals mad. They think Bush started our decline. They forget they have been in control of Congress since 2006. Congress controls the spending. Bush approved much of Congress's devastation and even promoted it but look at prior to 2006 the economy was doing well.

If you think it is ONLY Bush's fault you are grossly misinformed or delusional. Obama has taken the worst of Bush and multiplied it by 4. Obama & Congress are directly responsible for worsening this mess.

  • @AlbaGoBragh If you think a president is solely responsible for the state of the economy, you are grossly misinformed or delusional.

  • @powerslave2metal Economies will rise and fall as just a normal part of their cycle. It takes a particularly inept government to prolong the downturns. When these idiots get in power they all try to do the exact same thing. Such idiots are Wilson, Hoover, FDR, LBJ, Carter and Obama. The ones who understood how the economy works were Harding, Coolidge, Eisenhower, JFK & Reagan and most all of the early presidents. The economy works at it's best without any "help" from the government.

  • @AlbaGoBragh why to re-hash Glen Beck

  • @zero523 It's not all Glenn Beck. There's a lot of Jonah Goldberg and Amity Shlaes thrown in there as well.

Facts are facts. When the government spends money it has to take it out of the economy. That weakens the economy every time. It's not a hard concept to understand. Keynes's "money multiplier" theory has never ever worked. The damage done from taking money out of the economy is greater than any "investments" back into the economy. It only caused decline or stagnation.

  • I guess all the people I know with jobs, don't really have them, based on this horrific End Of Days slideshow?

  • to rageatm11, better do some much needed research into the FARCE about Clinton and the bogus surplus. Couldn't have ever happened, and of course it didn't. It was all smoke and mirrors my friend, nothing more.

  • WOW. I live in a part that was like, permanently purple, now it's like dark green. No wonder I can't get a job.

  • WOW UNEMPLOYMENT HAS AFFECTED EVERYONE INCLUDING ME =((

  • Corporations CEOs are sucking the wealth out the people of this country with the collsuion of the Government. This is what this map shows. Period. "there is only one party, the business party, with two factions; Republican and Democrat.

  • Only WWII and our "Arsenal of Democracy" industrial production prior, and during our entrance into the war increased employment and ended the Great Depression. Everything FDR did with spending and programs had no effect and they eventually understood this. Statistics actually show their actions made employment worse, extending misery. FDR raised taxes to 79% in 35 to pay for the New Deal, ultimately reaching 90% for top payers. Obama and the Liberal agenda is repeating misunderstood history.

  • looks like the plague o.O

  • OBAMA IS FUCKING IT UP

  • Beware Americans, your leaders will try to distract you from the economic collapse they created.

I believe they are doing it already by turning your attention to Manhattan.
