God loves you and says you are a masterpiece whether or not things happen to you in life, you are still a masterpiece. Be Christ-conscious not self-conscious. Don't hide, the enemy wants you to feel ashamed, embarrassed about yourself, don't listen to him, he's a liar!
All I can say to this is praise the lord! I cannot relate but I do know that God has worked his ways in you and that the holy spirit surrounds you, Paige. Praise God and stay strong.

I would be that person with the 20 ft. scar on the inside, but I'm working on it, and trying to find ways of letting people see me for who I really am and not living in fear about who they might think I am if they ever "found" that scar. My daughter has a Lymphatic Malformation. She has had over 30 surgeries (many more to go) & she's 5 1/2 yrs old. Her scars are on her face. Her face may never look 100% normal. Her tongue used to pertrude a couple inches out of her mouth and was very thick. Though it's inside of her mouth now, it is still pretty thick- I dont think her tongue will ever be perfect. I know exactly what you mean I had back surgery to remove a cyst and a tumor from a very rare disease called von Hippel Lindau Disease (yes the spelling is correct) and I had to learn how to walk again after the surgery literally and when I got out of the walker and into a cane (because something with the nerves messed up my right leg) when I would go to walmart with my Mom when I was in a isle people would give me the dirtiest of looks but now I am out of the cane and am walking on my own.

Man if i had to get my leg cut open like that i would cry like a kid. You're my hero. I would never think twice about talking to you just because of a silly scar. Everyone has their trials and tribulation. That really would make you more appealing to me because it shows me strength. I try to look at things as a test from god. I'm legally blind (not totally but i have bad vision) and it makes me so mad but then i stop and think gods got to have a plan for this somewhere. Stay strong and god bles
Paige I know were your coming from, I had knee surgery about 2 years ago, and it wasn't that serious but I had it on both knees, one knee had a bone spur (sp?) and the other they had to cut the bone to make it stop giving my cramps or something, and so I couldn't walk, I was on crutches and walkers, and when I would go places people would stare at my leg and give me that kinda, like u said pity/disturbed look, and they even asked me sometimes what happend to your knees? I know were ur comin from

Every time I watch this, it really inspires me. Thank you for humbling yourself to help us build stronger. That is a wonderful trait that more people need to learn. This makes me wonder if I need to humble myself more, even though I don't have a physical scar.

Paige, I have a challenge for you. I don't know why I even thought of it, maybe God just put it in my heart to tell you. My challenge to you is that every time you meet someone for the first time and you feel like hiding your scar, DON'T cover it up in any way. What makes you uncomfortable, when people look at the scar, God is giving you an opportunity to share HIS story in YOUR LIFE with others. Someone may need to hear your story, but they can't unless you give them the opportunity.
