The novelty wrapped ones are all white, ie. peace symbols, deer,, beer, capricorn, multi colored, etc. they are all white lighters with shrink wrapping. Sorry you busted up so many lighters, but the solid color ones are pretty evident they are not wrapped.

@LandosTrees If you use a hydro system without a growing medium, like NFT or most aero systems you do not have to flush during the growing cycle at all. If your using a topfeed, ebb and flow or any system involving a growing medium you will only have to flust when going from veg to flower and from flower to flush. Any additional flushing is not necesary really, it doesn't hurt the plants to do it, but I never do it (I've been at this game for almost 10 years now) peace bro :)

@Glitchclan12 you should never really ash any burning weed with the bottom of a plastic lighter. I used to do that then realized I was sticking a lighter into a bowl full of burning embers, not that smart lol. using the metal side is easiest and it wont melt the bottom of your lighter.

I only flush last couple days of bloom - before flush however, for 7-10 days slowly decrease nutrient levels- this works great. I use my own custom coco blend with lots of compost, in air pots\felt bags, I prefer the felt bags- made from recycled soda bottles- very porous, great drainage, you can actually use the reuseable shopping bags. Be creative. Anyways, excellent results from these bags, no root circling, roots are air pruned resulting in more growth.Peace

the only way you can tell if the bud was flushed properly is the taste. the ash can be affected by how dry and how well cured the bud was.

i ash halfway smoked bowls all day cuz the good taste isnt there so much anymore, those bowls are partly black because theyre only halfway burnt..

Some good general info. I'd like to see someone really do a side by side grow and not flush one plant, dry and cure in the same area and containers so everything else is exactly the same only the flush is the diff. Then you'd know. To compare different grows of different plants is not really scientific proof. Many thing can mess up an harvest, dry, and cure. Here is a good question for you. Why is it only MJ that gets flushed? Every other consumable plant is not flushed and never was.

Great vid, but it's missing a bit of pertinent info. Pesticides do cause cannabis to have issues staying lit. However, nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are flammable (and ingredients in fireworks), and cause your bowl/joint to taste harsh, and spark & crackle when smoked.
