  • Do you have to pay a month for these??? Or can you just type in your wifi password???????

  • @godfavorsme11 On the Wifi only versions, there is no monthly fee since there's no cell radios. You just have to login to your Wifi network and you're good to go!

  • xoom or playbook??

  • @068674415 10.1 inch or 7 inch.... you want a tablet, not an oversized phone. Xoom all the way!

  • tell me which should i go for ipad2 or xoom?xoom attracts me much.

  • @flickz2000 Xoom is pretty darn awesome. I have an original iPad and I like the Xoom better

  • @flickz2000 If you like games that are better than a phones, but less than a psp's on a big display with a somewhat light feel, get the iPad2.

If you're serious about school, you like hardcore games, not a nerd per se, but you like technology, but want something funner than a laptop, (lighter and smaller than a netbook, and smaller and more heavy than an iPad2) then get a xoom.

That was a little biased, but it's true.

  • @WotTehPhok wow..so convincing one.thanks. i am going for xoom.

And what about the available applications in Android Market for honeycomb?I heard there are merely 50 working applications.Do you think they are increasing?

  • @flickz2000 Yeah, I recommend waiting for more android tablets to come out. They released the xoom way too early (lack of apps). I think you should check out the samsung galaxy tab 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch. (nothing from LG though). But the xoom is still awesome without the apps (for games, I go play flash games on the browser, And I don't use a facebook app or a youtube app since the browser can play those).

---proud owner of a xoom, and a first gen iPad.

  • where did you get the the 20% off coupon ? I cant find them online

  • @Poticalguy They don't work, like I said in the video.

  • i love my xoom!!!

  • @williamstart123456 This has 1 gig of ram, which is twice that of the iPad 2. It comes with 32gb built-in storage at the same price as the 32gb wifi iPad 2. It has a microSD card slot which can expand if up to 64gb and will end up being cheaper than the 64gb wifi iPad 2. The cameras on it are far superior and it has a dual LED flash, which the iPad 2 doesn't have. That's just a brief list of what's better on the Xoom compared with the iPad 2. You can decide for yourself :)

  • Looks like people are having trouble so far rooting their wifi xooms. Since rooting is not working on the wifi xooms, people are not load the overclock kernels.

  • @erichchan3 Yup, I essentially bricked my Wifi Xoom last night trying to root it. It unlocks just fine but the root boot.img is specific to the Verizon Xoom.

  • @erichchan3 In time my friend.

  • @williamstart123456 yeah but it don't know about you but 16gb can run out very fast. And the college is 32gb with a micro as slot for an additional 32gb.

  • Getting it at Costco on Sunday

  • i went to staples today and couldn't get one :(, i have to wait for amazon with 1 day shipping damn it. At least i dont have to pay sales tax

  • @kcm117 I checked the availability of the Xoom on Staples' website and called those stores to see if they were selling it yet or not. You'll have it soon enough, don't worry!

  • Cool the back is different from the 3g model.

  • @USADominiRican Yeah, it's a titanium gray/silver color vs. all black like the Verizon Xoom. It actually looks very nice but if you have a case on it, you won't really be able to notice the difference.

  • @williamstart123456 $589.00

  • it looks like it boots up alot faster than verizon one

  • @321tobie I can't verify that but it did boot up quite fast.

  • @n64kps alright i have the 3G xoom and its boot up is kinda slow and i thought from staples it is $589.00

  • @321tobie Costco is selling for $589. Staples is $599.98

  • @321tobie Costco is $589, Staples is $599.98 + tax

  • @321tobie The initial setup boot is very quick. However, when you restart the unit, it takes about 45 seconds, which is probably on par with the Verizon Xoom

  • Nice!
