Dish Network HD is great, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. When certain channels go out of business, certain channels will disappear. Not Dish's fault.

@getdishnetwork it sucks that you are forced to sign a multi year agreement planning on having certain channels, then dish can remove them at any time w/o voiding the agreement. They have also removed Versus, which I now need to pay extra for, and is a great channel for the NHL. Which, like with Voom, was in my package when I signed my contract.

Fast forward to 2010, and Dish Network is ahead of Directv with regard to HD channels, at least that's how I see it. Directv has been adding new HD channels, and I give credit where it's due, but why are G4, E!, and BBCAmerica still only in standard def? How many times am I going to watch Olivia Munn and Morgan Webb in SD before I throw down the remote in disgust and give Dish Network a call?

I would be interested in watching adultswim and maybe a few hd movie channels. For 90% of everything else I use the internet. It amazes me how some people get those 300 channel packages when they only watch a few of the good channels. TV companies basically take all the good channels and only include them with the most expensive packages to get you to pay for more channels.

The channels you are talking about are the VOOM HD Channels. Dish carried them at one point. Then VOOM went out of business.

Hence, VOOM Channels go away.

Im a Rep for a Dish network call center yes here in the US and I loved gameplay HD and Monster but keep in mind that before our most recent Sat launch we didnt have the bandwidth so we ditched the less populer ch's for more populer, alot of ppl may like those ch's but not as much as the ones we added, its about the $, if CNN brings more $ in HD than monster guess which one Dish well get thats business, i believe once we have the bandwidth well add those back in

I have an advice to you. Call Dish Network, ask the operator to add channels for you. Cause Dish Network and the other channel providers are still working on a deal.
