  • Stand up straight its bad to sloutch

    Just saying:o

  • @KAIZER805 LOL .... That's totally true and most of the time I try very hard to stand up straight. But working over the press makes me kind of naturally hunch over. And yes I do have lower back issues. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Hey! I love your videos. But at the end of them can you show the design that you have made while in your videos? Id love just to see how they come out and how they should look. Otherwise, you're fantastic!

  • @GabbyO927 Thanks I'm glad you like my videos! Yeah this was one of the first actual printing videos that I made a long time ago. I don't know why I didn't think of showing the print back then. But if you watch my more recent videos you will see close-ups of the printing at the end of each video. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Look at 06:26 the wood ink think magically appears nice video work!!! it looks like magic!

  • @fr3style LOL, you caught that, eh? Yea, I forgot to get the squeegee for the black screen when I started the video. Things like that happen sometimes… :) Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Hi Johnathan,

What are you spraying on there before you put the shirt down? I am curious.. thanks

  • @highon74 That’s a spray adhesive. It holds the shirt to the pallet while printing multiple colors. Check out my video collection for videos about using spray tack and the various types. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • thanks for the video`s , very informative , I would like to know how to make my own stencils for screen printing , using photoshop , if you already have a video showing this , could you point me in the direction , if not I would appreciate your input ,

    thanks

  • @martnewberry No problem, my pleasure. I don’t use Photoshop to create my artwork. I use Illustrator or Corel Draw and vector art. But I am no expert at that part of the process. My forte is printing not artwork creation. You can find videos about this on YouTube. Just do a search for it. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • do you use wood platens or metal?

  • @the17shotguerilla Right now I have wood pallets but I hope to get some aluminum type ones very soon. They will stay much more flat, level and parallel to the screen surface area. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • thank u for this video x

  • @MsNatashy You’re welcome. It’s my pleasure to help out and share information. ☠

  • how do you make sure your second color registers right on top of where it suppose to? So that you don't get double color lines etc..

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani Each screen is lined up or registered to all the other screens. The textile screen printing press holds them all in place so you may print each color consecutively and have them combine in registration to create the full image with multiple colors. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • I must say best videos on you tube very helpful THANKS>>

  • @honda125 That is awesome to hear! It is my pleasure to help out. Thanks so much for your support. I appreciate the killer comment very much!

  • Me and a coworker buddy of mine have been talking about getting into Screenprinting T Shirts for some extra $ on the side. I am enjoying your videos because I knew next to nothing about the whole process. Thank you so much for these videos, very educational and you are very knowledgeable. I have a question for you, what kind of Machine do you reccomend for me and my coworker he is wanting to use his basement as a Studio for screenprinting. We're not sure what kind of machine to get. Any ideas?

  • @JrockOtakuOnna You are welcome. It is my pleasure to help out. You will probably want to start with a smaller 6 color, 4 station manual press. Check out the Vastex package on the Catspit website’s Equipment Sales page. There is a listing for an entry level shop package that is a good balance of value and function. That will give you specs and space requirements for the base equipment you will need. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Great vid, thanks! I'm sure it's been asked hundreds of times, but are you using water based or plastisol inks?

  • @Soulinertia - Thanks! I use all plastisol inks in all of my videos about screen printing. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • is there any other way to make printed t-shirts?

  • Yes, but it wont have the same results. Check out my other videos on heat transfers. Thanks for watching!

  • What is a good spray adhesive to use on the pallet?

  • I like to use Spraway brand pallet adhesives and screen opener. You can google that and find them online. Thanks for watching!

  • I have a make-shift silk screen set up in my apartment. I was wondering if it is possible to flash cure with a blow dryer?

  • I have heard of people using a blow dryer to flash cure plastisol inks. But I would at least go and get a Black and Decker heat gun from the hardware store. It will work much better and be more consistent. They are probably comparable in price to a hair dryer. Thanks for watching!

  • I don't want to get too much into your finances or your personal business, but I've been interested in opening up a screen printing shop out of my house just to make some extra income here and there. Is screen printing a good way to generate a sufficient income? Is it your main career, etc? Thanks for your videos, they are IMMENSELY informational and definitely inspirational.

  • Look around you when you go out to the store next. Count how many people are wearing printed tee shirts out of the people that you can see. Chances are you will count more printed tee shirts than other shirts. Screen printing shirts can be profitable and easy if you get started properly. Screen printing is my industry but I am involved with equipment and supplies as well as printing. But, yes, you can make living just printing tee shirts. Feel free to ask more questions. Thanks for watching!

  • thanks man, now i see where i've been going wrong!

  • You are welcome. Thanks for the comment!

  • The layer build up is the same as you would with spray painting stencils.

    Again great video.

  • Thank you!

  • Great thanks a bunch man... this is really something im interested in doing i wonder if i can intern or get a job in a screen printing business without any experience except what i know lol.

  • That is possible. Many screen printers have started by reclaiming screens and working up from there. Thanks for the comment!
