Hagee is being taken a bit out of context here; doubtless, he is referring to men who choose not work and make no effort to work etc. If a man is laid off, of course that situation is involuntary. Hagee also rejects "role reversals", stay at home dads etc. and one can appreciate his view as we have yet to see the long-term consequences of such a radical reversal.

Mr. Hagee, what about a 57 year old man who got laid off from his job as a Car Dealership Manager. He has sent out 2000 resumes & still hasn't landed a job. He says that it is his age that is a factor because it seems that companies want to hire young people instead. It is illegal to discriminate because of age but that can be difficult to prove & employers know this. Considering the circumstances, should he just starve & die to decrease the surplus population?

Not the wives, the husband has NO provision to blame his wife for the children not turning out right. Not to mention the fact that historically, Men & Women shared the work load in whatever manner worked for them. A farm, everyone works together, that is the same concept as the wife working outside the home, if her job is suited to her and it works better for the family

They ALL worked in the manner that was most effective for them. On a farm in the frontier they made no money. The husband didn't 'go to work', they worked the land. So did the wife & children. If the wife went out to milk the cows while the husband took care of their children, whats the difference between that and SAHD?

Hagee is being taken a bit out of context here; doubtless, he is referring to men who choose not work and make no effort to work etc. If a man is laid off, of course that situation is involuntary. Hagee also rejects "role reversals", stay at home dads etc. and one can appreciate his view as we have yet to see the long-term consequences of such a radical reversal.

1 of 2: Most men today have no pride. I am one of six brothers & sisters. My mother never worked, thus, I do remember my father had to worked sometimes up to three 3 jobs to support our family. With the money he made (because he was a wise man with his money) he not only support us but he was able to save money and have more than one house. At one time he had about five or six homes. My brothers have follow his path and today they work for themselves and they are not even 40 years old.

Mr. Hagee, what about a 57 year old man who got laid off from his job as a Car Dealership Manager. He has sent out 2000 resumes & still hasn't landed a job. He says that it is his age that is a factor because it seems that companies want to hire young people instead. It is illegal to discriminate because of age but that can be difficult to prove & employers know this. Considering the circumstances, should he just starve & die to decrease the surplus population?

Not the wives, the husband has NO provision to blame his wife for the children not turning out right. Not to mention the fact that historically, Men & Women shared the work load in whatever manner worked for them. This isn't the Christian position, its an American societal position. Before the Industrial Revolution most families worked together, either on their land or in their trade. They ALL worked in the manner that was most effective for them. On a farm in the frontier they made no money. The husband didn't 'go to work', they worked the land. So did the wife & children. If the wife went out to milk the cows while the husband took care of their children, whats the difference between that and SAHD?

I see nothing wrong with stay a home dads. I think its good that both sexes are taking up both roles and that women are becoming more independant and men are doing a bit more around the home so each gender can understand each other better.

He is saying that men who are the caregiver for their kids instead of working are "lazy bums"... interesting that he is in favor of women who would stay home to raise the kids.
so either he thinks women are naturally lazy bums & going to hell, or he thinks women are so much more inferior to men that for them to raise children is hard work, but for men it is just being 'lazy'.

He properly identifies these men & then attacks them.

There is a type of person who is lazy or think they are above working like normal people. They manipulate their wives or girlfriends to do all the work for them, while they sit on their lazy butts and don't lift a finger. My dad was one of those people he would manipulate people and try to get their money just so he wouldn't have to work. He was so egotistical that he thought he was above work.
