Just watched it for the second time. I saw it at the drive in too, when I was a wee lad with my parents in the family wagon.

The cinematography, locations and chase sequences are astounding and without compare. Too bad the erstwhile "story" and dialogue are so winch inducing. I recommend watching the first hour. Try not to even hear the dialogue.

It's a typical early 70's brain fu@k movie. I've watched it dozens of times and see a new detail every time. At one point he's out in the desert and the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. The only way to flip a negative and have the sound work is on purpose. Just one of dozens of little tricks and meanings in this flick...
