Because it's the first time I see a politician that speaks the voice of reason, for a change. i watched the whole debate and I've just got one observation and one comment. Observation = Ron Paul was given the least amount of talk time. Romney the most. Why? Comment = When asked what role religion would have on them as President only Ron Paul gave a believable answer when he said "My religion would only impact on my character and how I treat people . . ." Simple and true. Religion has nothing to do with policy because two people of the same faith can have different policies.

Ron Paul - (continued) Ron's beliefs in reducing and rather removing government involvements seems to be radical, but innovating. I like seeing experienced candidates bringing new approach to the table of discussion as it is rare and refreshing then discussions about how 5~10% change in tax rate is going to turn U.S. economy around. I'm not certain about the efficiency of his non-involvement ideas as I believe Ron Paul himself shouldn't be. I will hear what he has to say in future debates.
Ron Paul - First thought, why wasn't he given fair share of speaking opportunities as other candidates had? Ron tries to get straight to the policies and fundamentals without decorations and still seems to not have enough time to fully express his ideas and plans. Liked his non-foreign intervention policies upto a certain point. I don't agree U.S. should give up strategic points around the globe, but rather cut out unnecessary involvements that drains from our treasury.
Mitt Romney - Delievered moderate and balanced approach while still admitting needs to changes to most issues that was brought up. I like his personal beliefs against Obama Healthcare based on his own background in Massachusetts. Corporate approach toward running the Whitehouse wins my trust and also fear at the same time. Could Romney head toward a balanced country which favors all throughout rather than to gift the wealth to those selected groups and his partners?
Newt Gingrich - My first Republican primary debate, and geez he had a terrible debate! Unattractive behavior of mudflinging from the very start of the debate about Mitt Romney's career and investments. If you have a belief against Wall Street Banks' practices, please express them through the policies that you believe in. People want to hear what you would do as a president rather than to look at the past and origin of personal wealth of each candidates.
Rick Santorum - Young and passionate candidate. Seems to be passionate about the policies that he believes to the point that he sometimes seems to believe in rather extreme viewpoints such as stating that he will be '100%' against the open relation with the island of Cuba. Such inflexibility in his personal ideal makes him unattractive candidate for me as it shows inexperience and perhaps, ignorance to admit the possibilities of new developements of events in the world.

If you go to wikipedia and look at the Straw Polls for the Republican primaries 2012 page, Ron Paul has won 28/59 straw polls (Those are the ones with his name on them.) Romney has won 7 straw polls. Santorum has 1 or 2 straw poll wins. Gingrich has about 7 I think. I think we know who the obvious choice is for 2012.

Ron Paul - (continued) Ron's beliefs in reducing and rather removing government involvements seems to be radical, but innovating. I like seeing experienced candidates bringing new approach to the table of discussion as it is rare and refreshing then discussions about how 5~10% change in tax rate is going to turn U.S. economy around. I'm not certain about the efficiency of his non-involvement ideas as I believe Ron Paul himself shouldn't be. I will hear what he has to say in future debates.

Ron Paul - First thought, why wasn't he given fair share of speaking opportunities as other candidates had? Ron tries to get straight to the policies and fundamentals without decorations and still seems to not have enough time to fully express his ideas and plans. Liked his non-foreign intervention policies upto a certain point. I don't agree U.S. should give up strategic points around the globe, but rather cut out unnecessary involvements that drains from our treasury.

Rick Santorum - Young and passionate candidate. Seems to be passionate about the policies that he believes to the point that he sometimes seems to believe in rather extreme viewpoints such as stating that he will be '100%' against the open relation with the island of Cuba. Such inflexibility in his personal ideal makes him unattractive candidate for me as it shows inexperience and perhaps, ignorance to admit the possibilities of new developements of events in the world.

If you go to wikipedia and look at the Straw Polls for the Republican primaries 2012 page, Ron Paul has won 28/59 straw polls (Those are the ones with his name on them.) Romney has won 7 straw polls. Santorum has 1 or 2 straw poll wins. Gingrich has about 7 I think. I think we know who the obvious choice is for 2012.
