I've been wanting to switch to a Mac for as long as I can remember, of course a task like buying a MacBook takes a lot of cash. I've been saving every spare penny and have around $350, nothing near my goal. The reason why i need the laptop is because at very young age i was fascinated with technology and how it progresses and helps mankind move forward for a better future. Now that I'm 15 I've been working two low paying jobs to try to buy a decent laptop to proceed my studies in web design and graphic design. As time goes by the economy gets harder and prices get higher and the less of a chance i have to succeed in my future. Receiving this computer would mean the world to me and my family.

Hopefully the Macbook isn't too difficult for an older person to use. I was thinking that this would be a great tool for grandma to use to see the kids. Currently there is a huge distance gap between the kids and their grandparents. I've heard about technology bringing people together but we have never had the resources to make it possible. Considering that the Macbook has a reputation for being very "user friendly," this might just be the thing that brings the family closer together.

What's up with all the sob stories? Whats sad is not the actual stories, but the fact that an ipod is someones life goal, that sounds like the mindset of a spoiled child. In addition, the Macbook will be my savior from my windows laptop. My laptop is seriously broken, the Cd reader doesn't work so I can't even put school documents on it. The screen lid is falling apart, and one of the usb ports doesn't work. To top it off, its a dell latitude d600 with only 30 gigs of hard drive.
