  • As a trucker myself I wonder why he started so dumb.

Why not use the whole bloody road and get a much faster and riks free park.

But then again not many truckers that drive long distance even know how to drive in reverse.

You should try 1 of my normal trips only 1 or 2 lanes in the dark and no help.

And time is a factor because people are waiting for there fresh bread so I MUST be done by 8AM.

And that means I start working at around 2AM.

  • @MsUltrafox I miss starting that early. You're right,I have found that taking as much space as possible makes the job easier and i see a lot of long distance drivers not using the space available, even at docks.

  • This would be much easier in a Euro-cabover!

  • @gsand88 I used to drive a International Cabover. I love cabovers for city driving. They have gone out of fashion here unfortunetly

  • Driving like this ANYWHERE in NYC separates the men from the boys in this job.

My ass begins to pucker right as I hit the Outerbridge Crossing and continues until the nightmare is over.

For me, the worst part is that most of the bridge clearance signs in NYC are intentionally listed a WHOLE FOOT lower than they actually are! And, some aren't!

  • @Nacho66 Yes, and the BQE that are marked 12'2" but you can still run most of it. then there is one that is actually 12'2"

  • @mrpeabdy1974

Actually, you can run the whole BQE with a 13'6". I did scrape a trailer about 4 years ago on a bridge going thru a construction stretch though.

I drive out of S. Jersey and HATE driving in or thru NYC. I'm no cowboy and no tough guy and admit that even after doing this for 17 years, I STILL get the shakes driving up there. Drivers out West sometimes don't know how good they have it.

  • @db18luv 18 wheels, 102 inches wide, 53 foot trailer,can be about 65 67 foot, sometimes 70 foot total length

  • @mrpeabdy1974 Feet feet feet....not foot

  • @mrpeabdy1974 72'. I'm 76' with a 57 and it does seem easier to back than a 53. Imagine how my father feels with his 147' super H/H rig :|

  • Nice driving!

  • @pirate259 There are some more difficult places to back into, but mostly the problems is impatient car drivers, and someone who doesn't know what they're doing trying to help.

  • Love those cars whipping around him...I deal with those same moron four-wheelers all day, every day in Richmond, VA.

  • @jutzisr Washington DC too, I hate driving there especially on I 95 and I 495

  • Why is the wheelbase so long?

  • @auburnboy141 That Cornbinder (International) has a very average wheelbase for a sleeper truck. Now, if you want see a long wheelbase, search project 350 peterbilt.

  • Next to nothing

  • If that was me, I would shut down all six lanes for hours!!!!!!!!!

    F-it!

  • you should have pulled up and blocked those cars from raking you at the end, it would have eased some stress from the guy backing up too knowing a brother trucker "had his back"

  • @s98131182 I had a few blocked off with the back of my trailer, but some still squeezed through

  • damn 4 wheelers never give us any room or respect i hate when they do crap like this dont they know without us they wouldnt have there cars/homes/food/clothes/ and everything else

  • Comment removed

  • @stickshiftsonly93 One day they will learn respect! Optimus Prime must do some PSA's

  • Filmed in a FLD :)

  • @HeNdRiX692 I don't think the guy is trying to impress anyone, you are just overly critical and trying to be mr. super trucker.

  • great job :D Do you have dual trailers in usa?

  • @korven1986 Yes we do but they are mainly used for highway transport and then broken down for delivery.

  • I had to back into a spot in Chicago like that. 4 lanes, in the morning. Of course the cars wouldnt stop.. After i got it in, and showed the guy the bills, I found out I was at the wrong building. lol. Where I had to go was much nicer.. no cars and a big area to back up in.

  • Right... I will never claim that parallel parking in a car might be tricky again. NEVER. I promise.

  • nice job.....or u can just make ...L.shap and take hole road and just back in one shot

  • Why cant people just stop and give him the space that he need ? :S God, i hate the human race sometime :S

  • Gotta give credit to the driver who is willing to go in NYC, but he had plenty of room. Stellar Printing on Vernon blvd, Queens, NY is a real bitch compared to this...

  • That guy had no trouble other than the stupid 4 wheelers, they think we can look through our sheet metal blind side and see them squeezig us while we have to swing the cab straight before we can push back....and that`s why this guy here posted that video..I`m glad he did!

  • Dumb ass people just squeezing by can't even stop for a few seconds to let him back in

  • Where was the customer in all this to stop traffic for everyone's safety? Message to all you businesses out there. If you have a stupid location and do not provide two people to safely stop traffic, expect the professional driver to just drive away with your load.

  • @runrichmond If you look closely,he was standing at the rear of the truck "helping" to back in......

  • @herostoryproductions Thanks for the reply. But the point is the customer did not provide traffic control. Most drivers do not have a problem maneuvering a truck and trailer into tight spots. The problem is stopping cars and pedestrians from hurting themselves by getting in the way while the truck driver is doing his job. So ... nice of the customer to be trying to help by standing at the back but it does nothing to help with the safety issue.

  • @runrichmond ok and yes, most times when they are back there helping, it's actually making it harder on the driver.Someone back there always thinks your getting too close to something and your going to back into it, when in reality your not, you know exactly what your doing and they just make it harder.

  • its not fun i know from experience

  • Yawn. You got all the room in the world.

  • @Vintage1976

I'd love to see you try this, armchair trucker.

  • @KiloByte69 Armchair trucker? Considering I'm 35, have had my Class A since I was 19. I'm hardly an armchair trucker. I have routinely worked, NYC, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area. What have you done? Just because I don't post a video of me backing up doesn't mean I can't jackass.

  • That's easy....the problem to this is not backing into the yard ..but those dam civilian pests that dont give a fuck and dont stop just a few seconds to let u back up.

  • Eh,gottah do like we do here in Vegas swing out block traffic better angle..

  • Good job driver. I hate when cars do that shit. I would never deliver there again. lol

  • Good job driver. I hate when cars do that shit.

  • Why spoil this good video with a crappy song

  • put a 2nd trailer on it

  • I insist the company personnel get out in the street and stop traffic. This will allow you to pay attention to the task at hand while forcing the company into accepting some of the liability if you tangle with a 4wheeler.

  • the guy/gal in the ford and the car behind it were the only two people who werent complete douches haha its the same everywhere i guess...im sure that was more of a back street (not critisizing) but im still surprised at the traffic...its a big difference from montana haha. good job man

  • Ahhh! Is that Melba Utica? They used to always ask me, Who let the dogs out! My Chihuahuas hated them.

  • There IS a reason why more than half of the trucking companies won't deliver there...Brooklyn can be brutal...Great job on Not making a scene though...I know those tight docks can go bad really quick when cars are sneakin all around ya...

  • @HeNdRiX692

Blah blah blah . One in every crowd.

  • @mrpeabdy1974 hahaha hey man if your impressed by that good for you buddy ....lolll i still think im not impressed by that... he should have been in with two moves at the most .... you can blah blah all you want man you wont change my mind on this...

  • @mrpeabdy1974 hahahahahaha no doubt

  • @mrpeabdy1974 how many acres did he need??

  • @HeNdRiX692 agree lmao that was easy

  • @HeNdRiX692 Totally agree,Try doing this 15 times a day as a P&D driver. My day is all backing like this and blind side all day long.

  • @HeNdRiX692

and im sure ur the asshole that thinks traffic stops for you

  • @diesel118 hey man can you read??? i said traffic IS PART OF OUR JOB....i don t say traffic stop for me i just fucking deal with it....and if you think this is hard driving man... lollll get another job fast .....

  • @HeNdRiX692

uh naw the hard part really is just dealing ih assholes like u while out driving

  • @diesel118 maybe i m an asshole like you say but at least i m not impress by a rookie driver... i drive and back up in place way worst than that but i guess im still an asshole for just saying my opinion ....And you know what i know what it is to be backing up in traffic so i DO stop when i see a driver doing moves... so have a nice day driving and take care on the road ...

  • @HeNdRiX692 Nobody posted this video saying that this back up is the hardest back up known to man, but yet you gotta flap your mouth. Chances are the guy filming doesn't even know the trucker he's filming, just demonstrating how nobody has respect for truckers when you're trying to do your job with random cars preventing that. buuuuuut everybody's got a big dick and flap their mouths.

  • @kayem25 like i said traffic IS part of our job we will always have to deal with that thats all im saying. Do you think people in cars will loose their time watching this video on youtube man its a waiste of time trying to get people to stop for us even when they are turning street they try to outrace a truck they even try to outrace trains at RR crossing man reality is that we will always have to deal with this... better make up your minds at it ....

  • @HeNdRiX692 Lets see you do that shit buddy!

  • @HeNdRiX692 Lets see you do that shit buddy!

  • @adamup83 i do this everyday man but i don t see a reason to put this up on youtube its a waiste of time...

  • @HeNdRiX692 your right come to think of it, alot of room to move around lol

  • @HeNdRiX692 You know what's hard for YOU dude? SPELLING!

  • @zepper75 if thats my only problem man well i gues its not that bad lolll i prefer driving well than spelling well spelling is not that important on the road .. hahaha thanx for the comment it made my day laughing. and thinking about it my first language is french so as i seen everybody understood what i said up to now i think im doing good...

  • wow, that is a big test of patience on the truckers part, with cars going around you like that it would be hard not to rush yourself, good job

  • back up camera LMAO wait, i got to get up off the floor

  • True Heroes of America

  • ninguem para esperara ele fazer a manobra lol

o cara e muito bom de volante ^^

  • great drivin!!!

  • stupid ppl who cant jus sit there an wait.. see thios trucker knows to stop an wait, its the nice thing to do. an ppl in there cars who cant ur jus fags cus u have to wait a few min. its not his fault hes blocking trafic. hes jus doing his job. im not even a trucker an i have the curtisey to give him the room theyd need

  • stupid drivers who cant wait for the truck are jus horriable ppl. an then they get pissed at him, hes jus doin his job. give him the curtisy an jus wait!

  • bend that baby up nice work

  • fucking 4 wheelers.

  • Its not how long it takes to get backed up. Its what you don't hit backing up.

  • No back up camera?

  • @1339LARS

in trailers? no. Wouldn't help for the sides anyways.

  • @mrpeabdy1974 sorry... didn´t think about that, I´m just a dumd swede! But anyway nice backup.

  • Fucking New Yorkers.

  • dumb ass cars

  • wow thaz halla cool ..

  • I got teh do sumthin like that yesterday in Trucking school......but i wuz doin it on a 1ne way street.......it defitnitly boost's up ur Confidence Level after u get it in between 2 other 53" Trailers......

    ::::: Smiley Face & a WinK :::::

  • I meant 1 lane street.....

  • stupid cars.. I guess they want to be hit.

  • @landoncholly

Try doing 45 tankers in the oilfield. Some of the spaces you have to negotiate, in some of the most messed up terrain and angles imaginable, with unstable loads...major pucker factor, especially with hazmat.

  • ALL those people who didnt give this guy any room are ASSHOLES !!!! i would have cut off the whole road and made them all wait longer for being so dam ignorant!!

  • that sucks but at least there was enough room, I've been to places like that with a lot less room to work with

  • after riding with my father in his log truck for years im not at all impressed with anything that highway truckers do. not saying you suck or anything like that you still gotta have skill to drive any big rig but loggers in my opinion have to do much more skillful maneuvers. he ended up having to take a delivery job on the highway and when he took the driving interview the guy who was with him told him he had never seen a trucker with that kind of skill. but he logged for 30 years.

  • mrpeabdy1974 - nice job.hats off 2 u

  • great job driver

  • Nice job traffic wouldnt even yeild

  • New York City can be like that. New jersey as well.

  • @mrpeabdy1974 as a new yorker my self i know if people could drive under the trailer they would, people here will drive on sidewalks and the wrong side of the road..every ones in a dam rush here... especially in queens, brooklyn and NYC

  • @carmaster01 ...if you really were a new yorker, you'd know that queens and brooklyn are "nyc". new york, new york [the actual name] is all the boroughs dude including manhattan the bronx and staten island [some people like to consider yonkers the "6th borough"]

  • @mrpeabdy1974 fucking hate new jersey everything so small

  • @MrMariobig That's NYC and NJ drivers for ya. They all think 'God forbid I wait an extra 2 min. to get to where I'm going, gotta get there asap. I drive in NJ, and see it all the time

  • good job

  • Damn 4 wheelers. Nice job.

  • comeon now, thaz we we get paid the big bucks. Wait a go with the patience, but its all part o the job

  • LoL the big bucks now THAT is funny :oP

  • it sucks that there is nobody out there to guide him in. And the impatient 4 wheelers in a hurry to get around. He is cool and takes his time and he gets in safe. this buisness on Long island had a tight dock but I took my time, got out and look, and made it in safe. People just don't have a consciensous. he was doing what he was trained to do and was putting safety first at all times. I myself as a driver would help drivers get in docks and parking spots. again, good job, driver.

  • if you drive to NYC you should get pay double.

  • They cut our pay 10% because of the "bad economy".I refuse to do NYC now until they pay goes at least back to normal

  • Good job.... I hate 4 wheelers.

  • @beerrunner81 ME TOO

  • Nice piece of driving there buddy, the average road user doesn't realize how much skill and patience it takes to do this.

  • People are just not consciensous...yu think some one that works there would come out and help the guy out...

  • Good job, recvier should have someone stop traffic on that blind side.

  • good job backing up with all them impatient 4 wheelers sneaking around well done

  • @farmernewfie Agreed. NY and NJ street traffic is very impatient.

  • I dont miss my weekly trips to NYC with meat years ago.. Good job.. dam 4 wheelers

  • Way to be in there driver.Well done. This is a testimonial as to my hatred of 4 wheelers.

  • well that driver did really good under all the circumstances the traffic. the song went well with video to.

  • yea when ur trying to back anywhere off a busy road in this area u need to be pateint, at times agrresive and expect no one is going to give u time to get in the hole. always raises the blood pressure and onsets an early morning headache. yay

  • Brooklyn is rough!!!!Nice job!!!

  • What makes me so mad when you have to back up from a road and cars are just so inpatient. They will just pass you even though they will almost hit your truck. Like that just makes me so mad. Some cars do it at the begining of this video. I think some of the truckers may know what im talking about. Nice song. I have heard it before but i forget where.

  • it happens to me all the time

  • nyc will test a driver's backing abilities 4 sho!

  • Just like here, the idiots want to drive past his truck 2 inches from passenger side when he can't fucking see them in his mirrors ...makes my blood boil!

  • I really have to hand it to you and all the other truckers out there who have to maneuver those beasts in the city like that. I'd to have to do that.

  • Dude, this video kicks total as$. The song was perfect i was bobbing me head the whole time, the driver backing in had a horrible set up on that back tho. Take care my brother.

  • I didn't get it on video as I thought I did,but an employee was "helping" him,you and I both know what that is like, and it's a good thing this driver ignored him, or he'd be all fucked up.
