I have to add my two cents here. I have suffered from acne for most of my adult life, including 2 bouts of cystic acne, and through my own research and trial and error with what I eat, I can say for certain that eating any nuts or seeds will indeed cause me to breakout. And not only that, but nuts and seeds cause my intestines to go haywire with horrible noises, bloating, and pain. Nuts and seeds are not a healthy food for everybody.
A bad gut can't always do well on raw foods - it can be hard to digest. Nuts are not the easiest thing to digest and too much omega 6 and sugar from fruits leads to inflammation. A bad microbial situation or gut parasites won't be eliminated by raw food - you need specific herbs, otherwise sugars just feeds them. Some people need meat to rebuild protein - you have to treat the INDIVIDUAL it's irresponsible to advise blanket strategies.

I thought u explained this well..I want to start doing smoothies and add in chia seeds.I eat nuts,seeds,and love fruit.I was and may still be insulin resistant.I have lost over 50lbs..I now know how to balance my blood sugar.I am due to get lab work done!
I think this is why we would limit goodies like raw chocolate cake, (ground up nuts and dates or raisins just like people on regular diets need to limit their processed goodies. everything in moderation I think. Ohhh but it is soooo addictive. Peace and light...:)
toxins are stored away from organs as a survival. when we detox the toxins are released for elimination into the blood stream. lots of people get pimples/acne and or elbow rashes. many get scared and stop the detox or raw food attempt, thinking of it as a bad thing. you are probably doing a very good job, if you see these signs and they will go away as soon as your body is rid of its toxins. your skin will get better. Try taking some primrose oil or "gamma linolenic acid" for skin conditions :)

Ummm.... ok... how about adding UDO's oil in my smoothie? is that bad?
here's how my smoothie like.... half banana, half orange, frozen wild berries, frozen strawberries, UDO's oil, 1 scoop of Protein Isolate, 8oz. water.
i wonder if Udo's oil would be a bad combination with my smoothie?
