  • What can I say about Raiatea? She is a amazing, her voice gives me goose bumps, I love all the classics she covers, she does justice and then some to those who came before her including of course

Genoa Keawe, while still mastering the song and making it her own, buy her album sweet and lovely, it is great as are the others

  • wen dis young kids can sing like the great ones before their time, it is so awesome

  • Was in the islands for quite some time, it's maddening not being able to tune in some great falsetto and slack key on the radio. This wahine has talent

  • RAIATEA HAS AN INCREDIBLE FALSETTO VOICE. WE HAVE SEEN HER MANY TIMES, BUT NOT ENOUGH!

MAYBE FALSETTO IS A LITTLE HARDER TO GET TO LIKE, AFTER MANY TRIPS TO HAWAII, IT WILL GROW ON YOU. WE HAVE BEEN THERE OVER 20 TIMES, LOVE ALL THE MUSIC THERE.

  • She does real justice to traditional Hawaiian music....not like all that cheezy Hawaiian reggae out there now.

  • Beautiful ! This wahine will make history like Auntie Genoa

  • such a beautiful voice! her falsetto and keys are on point!

  • I had seen this video on someone elses profile and for me being in Cali. for 25 years now it just brought me back home to the islands. She has such a beautiful voice its just so breath taking. All I have to say is beautiful just beautiful.

  • I used to go to the Golden ? bar in downtown Honolulu back in the mid 70s to listen to her uncle George who sang like a Hawaiian angel. Her voice has a touch of George in it. Mahalo.

  • can someone tell who ur uncle was iam sorry but i forgot his first name ...he was he one that dissaperd of the island of kahoolawe...with his a friends of his

  • george helm was her uncle

  • thank you i recently heard a song of his and it made me think what a talented man he was

  • Man I wish more people had access to his music, he was great.

  • i just got his CD lastnight and its realy great

  • Mele o Hawai`i nei, Malahini. Where you education, eh boy?

  • You are so brilliant, your voice...so natural and so graceful and one no one can touch....i rather you continue to sing traditional rather than outside this realm. You make hawaiians proud. Bravo!!!!

  • I agree - grow from the roots!

  • Raiatea,Darling you melt my soul with your wonderful music (no bird is better)!!!! from (afandan)

  • i luv dis song, i havnt heard in so long!

  • I love Raiatea Helm not is she young and beautiful but she has the most beautiful voice in hawaiian music I have ever heard in a long time. I visited a public library in kearns, utah and I seen her picture on her CD and I knew right away that she has such great talent and when I listened to her sweet and lovely cd and I just fell in love with her voice. She does have a voice like a princess....Aloha sweetheart. you friend and fan Anne Alisa in west jordan, Utah

  • I'd love to hear her do Kui Lee's classic "I'll remember you", with an upright bassist providing some simple line to compliment that great, expressive voice of hers. She has great, natural sense of rhythm with the ukelele; what's in the soul comes out from the hands. See how she sways so naturally as she sings - true genuine original vocal artist.

  • Please come back to New Mexico. We need you...

  • this is the most beautiful song ever!~ BTW Hapa Pride 4eva!

  • wow she is good

  • Ahe sure maoli no Me ke onaona, auwe he Me ka nani, Kalama`ula E ka paia nei ea He u`i mai ho`i kau, auwe he Me ka nani, Kalama`ula `Aina ua kaulana ea I ka ho`opulapula, auwe he Me ka nani, Kalama`ula E ho`i kaua ea E noho i ka aina, auwe he Me ka nani, Ha`ina mai ka puana ea He ho`i mai kaua, auwe he Me ka nani, Kalama`ula Kalama`ula

  • no shit really? there are different kinds and she has a deep sound to hers and i have thew same kind of uke but cant get that sound

  • change your strings.

  • thats the thing i dont know what kind to get that sound like hers

  • Wheeeha, bebe! Go get um, young teeta! Raiatea is freakin talented!!

  • omg, that was beautiful!! She has such a mature voice, If I didnt see who she was I would think it was aunty genoa keawe. Awesome job girlfren!!

  • this woman is great her voice is like an angle greetings from belgium

  • Respect to you too Pekelo bro, our hearts is always with da broz.

  • wtf is a Haoli?

  • Haha what Hawaiian, haha can't even spell ha`ole, damn kooks!!! Hawaiian By Birth Baby!!!

  • dis song made me cry lol

  • Her lower register is impressive - and a beautiful, natural, relaxed but expressive vibrato. Great control. A choir of several ukeleles behind her & an upright bass that swings, (no other vocals) would be interesting.

  • Unbelievable, just saw her on the mainland a few weeks ago at Redondo Beach. What a voice!!!

  • LOL he said "slow, high bitch" ": smoooove: LOL

  • She is mean alright, katahi te manu tioriori!! Her uncles version is mean too but she's up dare!

  • She's da bomb yo! I mean, she is a little

different in real life than her image is on

her CD cover, but that means she can only

    get better.

  • she signed my ukulele when i went with my group on a tour to hawaii :) she's awesome >_<

  • I prefer her uncle's one bettah, prolly just because that's what I grew up with and can remember his voice when she sings this beautiful mele. She still does it justice and I can't wait for her next drop.

  • bravo c'est tout simplement beau !!!

  • I own all her albums, but it's fun to watch her singing.

  • Great singng and ukelele. Old style. Mahalo for posting. Is that Don Ho with Raiatea?

  • You sing it tita!

  • Hey! that's the brothass!! isn't it!!

  • Beautiful I love her voice! man i wish i could hit those high notes! haha!

  • I can dig it. Reminds me of my Mother's name Malama. Malama'ula, yeah that's beautiful. Malama in Samoan, Marama in Tahitian. To my people in Kalama'ula, thank you for the serenity that this song brings me. Aloha and Much Alofas.

  • Now that's what I call a beautiful 100% Pure Blooded Hawaiian woman.

  • i like her singing... thats about it..

  • Raiatea's our Polynesian songbird. Her rendition of the song is beautiful.

  • beautifull!!!!brings me to tears!!!

  • dis gurl can sing....beatiful voice!

  • Raiatea is one of my favorites. I go to see her perform for the fist time at the Spam Jam last May and then at the Waikiki Aquarium in June. She has such an awesome voice. This video is good but the sound is a bit distorted, you have to hear her live to appreciate her talent. She is currently working on her third CD. No idea on a release date. BTW who is the dude dressed up like a malahini?

  • one of my personal favorites to sing wen we kanikapila... but this is simply u'i... go on w/ur bad self sistah!

  • forgot to say the Helm family comes from Kalama'ula and her uncle sang it the best. No one cannot sing it better and personally, I think the song should be for the homesteaders on Kalama'ula.

  • But at least Raiatea comes from a well grounded family who is well respected by the community miss Haynkekai00.

  • Raiatea has the voice of an angel. "Sweet & Lovely" is truly an amazing CD. I hope she releases a third cd soon!

  • who the hell is this?

  • if you don't know, then it ain't for you.

  • raiatea helm a famous young hawaiian singer. read the fuckin title idiot

  • my aunty sings it betta

  • beautiful song an i love the way raiatea sings.
