This is my favourite song of hers and it'd be a shame if she didn't like it but I could probably see why. Judging by her other stuff, this is may have been more pop/mainstream than she was willing to give. Maybe that's why she fired here management: they wanted her to go pop but she didn't. Ran out of room and sorry for the doublepost...but the genesis of this song was just Amanda, Billy Mann, and Peter Asher just trying to outdo each other lyrically for laughs...one-upmanship...that'­s all it was...and the 3rd album was the first true representation of Amanda as an artist...she felt most creative and it represented her personality, all sides, best....I personally love all her stuff but the 3rd album, "Everybody's Got A Story", is my fave, but it was so different, Sony US was huh???

A few years ago, I happened to be changing channels and found Amanda Marshall on. I was completely taken in. Being from Massachusetts, I knew nothing about her. But I recognized that she was a monster talent. And I CANNOT believe that she is not a huge star.

At the time of release I really felt they were trying to take her down the R&B route. This was a fun track, and Red Magic Marker is good too, but the album was largely a miss.
