@Omustardo Thanks a lot for the guide, I just killed jad for the first time, accidentally switching most of my brews for extreme defs(Damn jagex and making them look almost exactly the same). Fight took a lot longer than it shouldve due to an unlucky hitting spree, but I beat him at 134 LP left.

Could I do this with the same gear he did except whip instead of rapier, glory instead of fury, and warrior ring instead if zerker? My levels are 86str 84att 77def and 85hp I also can only use piety.

Yes but it would be more difficult, especially at jad. You're probably better off ranging since it's easier and safer unless you have some experience with fight caves.

How much more would torva improve my chances? As well I have a divine should I take that or would it be pointless and take DFS instead?

Torva's lifepoint boost is equivalent to a divine if you are using sara brews(brews heal more with torva = damage reduced with divine). If choosing between divine + bandos or dfs + torva I'd go with torva + dfs.

With torva or a divine it would be significantly harder to die.

@timpieto make attack 80, it really does make a difference to the annoying "0's". and strength 90.

ofcourse bring super sets and most important thing...defense. high defense is so crucial cuz the more you have the more chance they hit 0's. about the 360's always leave mage pray open, and never close it until tz tok jad. the trick to melee the (360), when he whips his tail to throw magic ball hit and run and repeat until its dead. that's the only melee trick. usebrews to heal and then restore.

@timpieto I didn't do the fight caves too. because i plan to do it with melee. with melee if your careful is waaayyy easier and faster than ranged. but i don't have a rapier, damn i used the tokens for something else. my dumb mind i know...but whip should do the trick too. problem is i still dont know how to setup inventory for melee. can you send me a picture that shows it? get me a perfect one. one that lasts long.

I melee'd jad with whip and claws. I died first run to a 360 because I was too stubborn to brew lol. Jad was cake though.

is it worth it for me to try melee? I've only ever killed jad once with range, Im lvl 137(138 tomorrow) I just dont have any chaotics or bandos. whip/ovl turm, could borrow claws or something.

If you're doing it for a slayer task or something where you really want to beat it then I'd just range and play it safe. You're high combat so you should be fine meleeing with some practice.

Not having soul split to heal will be the main problem but if you don't mess up and get hit too much you should be fine. You could also bring guthans but that would defeat the purpose of meleeing to make it fast since guthans is slow.

Rapier is definitely better for the 360s because the attack speed allows you to attack in between their hits while a cls requires you to skip an attack every few hits to keep the timing right.

On jad I prefer cls because rapier doesn't seem accurate enough.

I tried this out with rapier/dragon def. The whole fight caves were very fast but when i got to jad i was doing good until the healers came, i couldn't hit good enough to ko him before the healers healed him above half, he ended up koing me with a 500 when i tried to lure the healers :/

@swordman2921 Rather than the cls degrading as someone said i would expect he used a charge of his dragonfire shield, hence all defence stats apart from mage go down 1. I expect the picture of the starting inventory was taken after the ending picture and between them a dfs charge was used

You won't be able to tank the 180s and probably won't be able to tank the 90s so it would be a bit different. I've never tried it so I don't really know though.

No. It's simple, just replace 95 prayer with:

-70 prayer.

80 dungeoneering with:

-Whip.

-96 fuckin herblore with:

-Super sets.

And maxed stats with:

-Unmaxed stats.

Wauw. There's already other guides for unmaxed people, but you could easily just replace the requirements for this guide with lower end requirements and have the same thing.
