Great video considering you're learning but then you got to thank the designers of the software for laying it out nice. Seems quite easy to pick up, very interesting exporting snippets of CSS code which means it's pretty pointless manually embedding CSS then exporting once finished into seperate .CSS file!
I'm just very confused, why would you need (X)HTML as a mark up when you can write text in Fireworks?...surely that suggests that [p] element is pointless?

Can I upload a swf into fireworks and then export it to dreamweaver. Or can you explain in avideo how to download a video or swf into dreamweaver. I want to put it as the head introduction of my website. Can you help me with that?
dude allways when i make a master page next page is the same ... and everyting is the same and when u make this amamm what was it called hyperlink with slice tool it repeats on everypage aand on my website when u click on this place its bugged and its like i am on home page how can i fix so when i duplicate to be new page
AWESOME! I was struggling with my website and I needed a FAST way to get my design portfolio up and I just happened to click on your link when I did a search in google. I am DEF subscribing! Your awesome !
Thanks man! I am working on a site for a company and I've been working in dreamweaver but hell, this seems much simplier! Got my design done from Photoshop and thanks to you I can work with my design from photoshop in fireworks! Thanks alot!
Very cool vid, man! I like the speed, the concentration and the stressing out the meat points. Keep them coming. I am on the way of creating the coolest band owned website...
Possibly you could have created the site solely in fireworks?
I'm learning the states at the moment, when it comes to exporting after slicing them you have a choice to export the states either as javascript rollovers, gifs or single image files.
I prefer to use the export wizard to optimize as a rule to lower the file size .
hello from Mexico, congratulations for your video, now how do i preview or check that my page is working properly in drewamweaver (things in dreamweaver seems more complicated) Adolfo thanx again
dude, i just want to thank you. you saved my ass bigtime! i'm in uni and this multimedia class is sick but i have no idea how to use fireworks, and you really helped me out. so yeah, thanks!
Great job! Thanks for making this. I like your pace. It's difficult to learn these advanced applications when other teachers continue to teach the basics, like nobody every heard of them before. So I like your style! Thanks again.
Nice tutorial, congratulations! I'm also learning FW and I'm new at creating web pages. I got all my pages in FW, but stuck on slicing... should I slice the master page and also the individual pages? Should slices cover the entire page?...
Again, you are awesome! The CSS export is amazing. I love that...especially since I just fought for three days trying to get my mother's site online and had to type most of it out. Ugh. New appreciation for coders...
Anyhow, again 5 stars, keep up the good work. Thank you again, too.
@camelwide888 The css export functionality was made possible by a plugin for version cs3. adobe purchased that plugin and incorporated it into cs4. I think you can still get the plug in for version cs3. I think it's free too.
My first response would to be use the export wizard, it will walk you through the steps and allow you to optimize your images the way that you prefer. =)
@NeaceDesign You might want to consider not having yourself in the web cam when your showing something important. I keep looking at you rather than what you're explaining lol.
Hey dude, I done a design in fireworks cs4 and i have sliced it up... But The content page is transparent but when i export it via CSS and Images it ain't transparent any ideas?
Im sorry im new at this....but ive been looking some vids about FW!!..and its awesome!!!
So i have a question!!....Is there a website 100% firework....if there is...can you reply me the link!?

renegadetentcamper 10 months ago
@renegadetentcamper what do you mean? Do you want the text in the center? Best way to center is using css, no need to start over.
