they should release this song in iTunes. I love this song and this band has the best version, it just sounds so natural and joyful. Marc and Jason's vocals complement each other so beautifully.
It's easy to praise Him when things are fine. The real test, comes when we're 'on the road marked with suffering/ when there's pain in the offering'. When our family goes through a trial, or a death of a loved one occurs.
"OH COME LET US ADORE HIM"....!!!! YES!!!! That boy's got a VOICE on him!! My personal favorite: "My Last Amen." One of the greatest contemporary Christian songs of all time!!
Downhere is awesome! I like their style. "How Many Kings?" is the best song for their lead singer's voice. INCREDIBLE... listen to it and you'll agree.
that was a GREAT version of it. one of the best i've ever heard! they're really great musicians filled with the holy spirit !!! whooo hooo! made my day!
Do not judge does not mean "let people spew their hateful statements against a band and make personal jabs against their fans". If you say these kinds of things to people in real life then I'd wonder how people find you nice to be around.
Matthew 7:2 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." That doesn't mean judge, it means don't judge hypocritically. I don't say hateful things to people I don't as you do.
The song is good, but when you state "Jesus Love you"...etc...HOW do you know WHO Jesus loves? He loves all that the Father gave to him...THis is the elect...that is why we cannot say "Jesus love you" to a person...where in the bible do you read this..and why didn't the apostles EVER say it to anyone? THINK...Psalm 11:5-6; Romans 9:13; Matthew 1:21
Love downhere, and especially their rendition! I've heard so many, but I've concluded that the beautiful harmonies of Jason and Marc make it stick out above the others (theirs and the one the Newsboys did live when Phil was w/ the band)
This is a great run-thru of a very popular Christian Praise& Worship tune.Everybody plays this tune, but this one caught my ear!! Keep up the great work,Downhere, regardless of what some say. Those are the ones who don't play anywhere.
Thumbs up souls1ngersonia. That's right. God taking away is a confession/submission that all things in the end belong to God and even in loss, God is still sovereign and righteous.
rothjer: that line comes from a biblically based standpoint as Job 1:21 that reads in the KJV "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. "
i love this song the only thing i have to say i know im gonna get some thumbs down over this but what ever, during the bridge "you give and take away" God doesnt take anything from us...it seems kinda like non-sense to me i donno though unlesss theres a more deeper meaning to that part thatsnot completely there?
This song speaks to almost everyone. Mr. Matt Redman (The writer) must have been divinely inspired. If it speaks to something, ANYTHING in you, crack open a bible, or better, find a church near you and just spend ONE HOUR there this Sunday. God wants you closer to him, truly.
Hmmn, I wonder why I was proseletyzing last time I saw this, without actually saying how great the performance is!?! My head goes in many directions. This is such a great version of this song, the whole band is so tight and creative! I wonder how far Far Hills is? Is Downhere their regular musical group?
I read your comment and i got reminded of myself! I was not a christian but i heard a song that opened my eyes to who God really is! May be God is beckoning for you! Keep listening!
Haha...It's 1:31 am on Christmas and I started listening to this, with no idea that they sing part of O come all ye faithful :)
