  • Rip's a good miler. But he's a much better horse over 10+furlongs, IMO. I don't understand why they want to drop Rip back down to a mile after his fabulous win in the Juddmonte International against a field of multiple G1 winners? He'll have a harder time beating Canford Cliffs at Ascot than he did at Goodwood in the Sussex Stakes. Why not run Rip with Fame and Glory at 10+furlongs in the Irish Champion Stakes? Like they did with Mastercraftsman and Fame and Glory in 2009. A better race for Rip.
