  • She's tlkng bout how gripping love can be, she's saying how he controls her (not in violence or manipulative way) w/o her consent, she's swaying to his beat. Its similar to blues African/Black ppl are gorgeous and got rythm, its in us. oohooye Im here for you. This artworks for the lovers (energy, mind, soul connected. Unity=Stronger Community: We're all Black Stars

  • i love ethiopian music and culture i feel im ethiopian the whole world is ethiopia i wish i could understand gedamou

  • good music carry on.

  • good

  • Nice

  • Beautiful music and faces. Don't let the devil divide you...all of you.

  • good job i love it thanks

  • it is awesome song ever !!!

  • @Chewasew LOOOOL...With your (AIDS AND HIV ) who wants to be near you guys? i should say Ethiopians male or female the answer is on one.... have a fan with your prostitutes

  • @xayaatunafsi Hundreds of starving Somalis flock to Ethiopia every day to escape from Al Shabab aggravated famine in Somalia. Similar number of malnourished Eritreans cross into Ethiopia every week to escape from a monstrous dictator that has ruined their lives. Yet, ungrateful compatriots of these refugees living overseas insult and denigrate Ethiopians. It makes one wonder if the only thing your colonial masters, Italians, taught you is hatred towards your benevolent neighbours, Ethiopians.

  • @Chewasew kkkkkk I wish I could laugh more shame on you let is talk about hunger and famine in east Africa Ethiopia has a long and troubled history of famines 1970's 1980's until now. And when you said about aggravation we are a stronger nation as you know in 1964 and 1977 who defeated you still knows how to kick your ass you should respect Somalia, also don't for get people fight against each other it's part of mother nature even America had a civil war but at least we don't torture our people.

  • @Chewasew so let me finish the mess you started. speaking of colonial masters don't you know a lot of countries has been colonist some of them are even the best countries in the world today like Australia New Zealand canada including America. Are you an idiot what do you know about history?nothing educate yourself otherwise site there and talk like 5 year old kid.in fact Ethiopia is the one who's been abused by the Italian Colonies stop living in denial actually it's time for you to admit

  • @xayaatunafsi The fact that Ethiopia is a poor country is public knowledge. Despise our poverty, though, we continue to accommodate many less fortunate Somalis and Eritreans. In Addis Ababa alone one hundred thousand Somalis live in peace and dignity. Ethiopians are kind, hospitable and generous to a fault. What we are/were not is colonized. As one astute Ethiopian young lady stated in another video, “ETHIOPIANS DO NOT CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY. WE CELEBRATE VICTORY DAY”. Indeed.

  • we are poor reallly mmmh let me take a minute toreflect on that cause the last time i checked somalia dosent have shit to compare even with its neighbors i puntland your a pathetic nation with unrealistic ambitions it will take a miracle to overcome your current state but that time ethiopians will be far a head of the game

  • @Chewasew Amen to that lol... bless u....but lets not hate each other we are all from east Africa. we are all Adam's children therefore we are not prefect. and poverty and hunger its not only east African's problem.

  • @xayaatunafis As for Somalia’s war of aggression, leaving aside the details, Somalia is where it is today (a failed state) because of Siad Barre’s misadventure in Ethiopia. History has not been kind to invaders. From Pashas of Egypt to Siad Barre & Isayas Afwerki, aggressors have paid steep price in Ethiopia. The rest of your mumbo jumbo is not worth responding to. What is obvious is you are a hateful troll. It's a reminder that we live in a very rough neighborhood. We can’t be vigilant enough.

  • @Chewasew looool stop crying like a baby!!! BE A MAN, i am so proud to be Somali. and If there's any haters i guess is you guys.hahah mumbo jumbo that's what I'm talking about Sec what kind of life do you have or Government? i feel sorry for you i really do pretending that you have a Government and your own people are everywhere everywhere begging for food iam from ahmara gurragae oromo you trying to be funny but hey this is not stand-up comedy aabahaa iyo hilib ceyriinkaad cuni jirtay was...

  • @xayaatunafsi A proud Somali is an oxymoron. What is there to be proud of? Somalia is an anarchic country where terrorists, pirates and war lords run amok. Zoomalia is an embarrassment to Africa.

BTW, a lovely song. What does 'Gedamu" mean? I enjoy listening to Ethiopian music. Cheers!

  • @GeeWith What a ridiculous statement. I have a proud heritage, history, culture and belong to a people that (it would seem) have pride running in their very blood. A time of adversity is the worst time to lose that self worth. Both debaters had some points to put out on the table. I do however disagree with the Somali coming on a Ethiopian video to insult it's people. Very rude. As for you, your insults and purposeful misspelling of my country's name does not phase us. Have a nice day!

  • @Chewasew hahahah iam from ahmara gurragae oromo please help kkkkk... man kills another man is not something new and has existed Since the Beginning of the world but you torturing your own people punishing and killing even destroying their villages shame on you how dare u talk about someone else. lo i am so glad that you said these words mumbo jumbo looool now i know you are worthless i am not going to waste my time arguing with you.believe me the only thing you good at is eating RAW MEAT..

  • Dude, this shit is awesome. There's an Ethiopian restaurant called Zemam's near my house that's amazing and the girls that work there are way beautiful. The girl in red at 2:30 is amazing too! I think you have to have some pretty serious talent to sing the way traditional Ethiopian music calls for.

  • @dirtymissella, u say she sounds like a squealing cat? u got no taste, dirty!

  • i reallly really love this video. im not ethiopian, never been to ethiopia but when i listen i could almost feel like, in a weired way, that i belong.

  • THANKS... CONTINUE

  • Wow! I've never seen anything like that shoulder dance.

  • @pashun88 LOL I did.... in Ogden.

  • @Abdikarimelmi Ogadenis do Eskista? Don't tell me they abandoned the dhaanto. lol

  • love it very nice n good job

  • too beautiful music.i am Indian and have become a fan of Ethiopian Music.i love the eskesta.I am sad that such a country with so strong a culture has had so much problems.

  • @avengerthor1 My dear little Indian friend...We are very glad you like our culture however there is no need for you to be sad about our problems you got enough problems in India to keep you sad enough. I promise you we don't need your sympathy.

  • @dagem2 The only thing Ethiopians take pride in them self is with their Airlines or Athletes. Other than that Ethiopians living abroad (in US & Europe) , are too ashamed of them self coz the only thing their country is known for, to the outside world is that of famine, hunger, diseases, HIV / AIDS, War and Poverty. It seems you have forgotten the reality your people are faced with. This year alone 10 million Ethiopians are starving and begging for UN to feed them. Wake up Ethiopians

  • @UniversalStar2000 That is a story our enemies (near and far) tell frequently on our sites trying to offend us. Ethiopia has survived through millennia facing man made and natural adversities. But through it all, we Ethiopians have always been proud of who we are and where we came from. We are people rich in history, humanity and natural beauty. So I suggest you take your imbecilic comment somewhere else it might find accolades.

  • i came up with a theory that involves the book of genesis (fig leaves) buddha (sitting under the bodhi fig tree) jesus (many sayings about figs) ross horne's book (new health revolution) and science (figs are the most important source of food for fruit eating rainforest animals). i then experimented on the figs by eating mainly dried figs (same brand) for 6 years now and found cycles which i related to the number in psgs 11/12 of the book of revelations. this theory has gone around the world.

  • greetings to all my friends in abyssinia. have you read my theory? its a good one. all you little jesus lovers should love it.

  • this is a true Root n' traditional Ethio groove. The ancient way of express true deep love to one n' other. wonderful original vocal and groovy ''Masnko''. it is really refreshing to see n' listen to this newly adopted version of this song.I like the the quality and the simplicity of the video production .over all it shows natural and real fusion of the production. well done n' god bless

  • Egzi_Ab_Beher hoyi Hisbhin temelket Tebikachewum.

  • the best Ethiopian traditional music i like this ,

  • i like this music so much my beautiful people,

  • No my friend, the people from Ogaden region are ethnically Somali and it is an area inhibited by Somalis for centuries, hence it is the reason why the majority of the inhabitants speak Somali, the region was given to Ethiopia by the colonial powers of Somalia in 1954.

  • שייייר טווב..... והרקדנים והרקדניות בכלל מהממים

  • @chekol156 i have no idea what you said, but one day i want to learn the language of amharic ecause its such a cool language

  • @rrrgovernment01 respect my man. Ethiopia is a very old and ancient land. I was there not a month ago, go and travel there. You tube does not do the country justice. Ethiopia/Ethiopians are beautiful. Also the country is very safe. Consider a vacation there

  • @ethiotoronto oh yeah i know. It's not the best place to be in many areas of the country. There's a lot of poverty and sickness in the area. I haven't been there but my family has. I'm hoping to go there one day to help out the people in the poverty areas while i do see the cites too.

  • no somali people don't look like ethiopians. i don't know why some somalians try to resemble themselves with ethiopians. somali people have there own beuty period! be confident with yourself. there is beauty in every culture.

  • @biniamt that depends who is Ethiopian to you. Ethiopian look is very diverse so pretty much everyone in the horn of africa somehow looks alike.

  • @biniamt So the people in the ogaden are not Ethiopians?

  • @eriblood ogaden is a tribe not ethnic, they are tribe of somali people and their map is in ethiopia

  • @eriblood

loooooool are you sure ur from eritrean? you sound really dumb. obviously the ogadens are somalis, thats why somalia and ethiopian are at war at each other. somalia invaded ethiopia three times, but in 1977 we almost took Addis Ababa & the eritrean rebel groups launched assault in the north of ethiopian aka today called eritrean, but unfortunately the cubans and russians came to the rescue of the amhara niggers.

if god was on our side, today ethiopian wouldnt have existed.

  • @puntlandGeezer i was just asking him a theoretical question. Oromos look like somalis but they are Ethiopians at the same time.

  • @eriblood

oromos dnt look like somalis, they more can of look like amharas, but afars do look somalis.

  • @puntlandGeezer Whoa easy geezer, are you sure you've seen an Oromo? Cos I know for a fact they look Somali but at the same time they're still Ethiopian. And please you can't insult a whole nation, hate won't get you far. Blame the government but not a whole nationality, I'm Somali and I've got Ethiopian friends who are genuinely nice ppl, who are opposed to the oppression against the people of Ogaden. Don't bring politics and bullshit here, enjoy da music or leave Long live Somalia & Ethiopia!

  • a very nice traditional music. Lovely clip. She has got a super vocal.

  • Wow, I never knew Ethiopians and the somalians look alike...interesting..

  • good song

  • I like it really

  • I don't understand the music but it is different and its cool. She is a great singer

  • eskiss eskiss eskiss eskiss eskiss,,,hoy hoy bahil bilo zim! Ethiopia!....Ehh Gedamu Ehh Gedamu.............besutiful beautiful beautiful !

  • she is good ,she is one of my favorite singer. i won say to her .BERCHIBET.

  • The song is soothing, hypnotic and full of spiritual and sexual longing. I wish there were an equivalent group of musicians here in America I could jam with. I want to here songs like this all day and all night.

  • @SWBism

I know, I dont know what they are talking about, they want to seek acceptances to deny the truth of their own origins.

A few reggae songs, books about Haile Sellasie, and they think they are "Ethiopian"! LOL!

  • @WupeViasco: Roddent worshipper, go worship your rats in the temple with your people in Paki or India and leave us the fuck alone. You don't look black, you don't look Ethiopian, you look at 100% Asian. If you do have Ethiopian blood, grant yourself as being lucky. Fortunately, you don't look like us. We are black, African, and proud. I know your trying so hard to prove to your paki or Indie race, you are not part black b/c you believe Ethiopians are not black people..hahahaa.

  • @zxa105

Thanks for the assumptions buddy, but not all people of Indian decent are Hindus.

Who is us? Dont tell you think you are Ethiopian? Or the fact that you consider your self black makes you Ethiopian? You are not.

Nope, If you look at most mixed Ethiopians they tend to not look like their Ethiopian parent at all. I am 1/2 Ethiopian & I am proud. I am not going to let an idiot afrocentrics like you decide who I am.

Ethiopians are not black, and it has been proven hundreds of times.

  • @WupeViasco I am an Ethiopian and black African. The countless Ethiopians being mistreated by ignorant Arabs in Lebanon and other Arab countries feel the same way. Go and preach your racial dichotomy nonsense somewhere else. BTW, stop polluting Ethiopian video sites with hate and divisive comments using multiple nick names.

  • @WupeViasco: Sorry to break the bad news to you but EThiopians are black and African mr. mix breed brotha from India. Stick wit your Indian people. No one would believe in anyway or shape you carry an African blood. We don't look like you and you don't look like us period. You are desperate to part of the great ancient people of kings, queens, and pharoahs bloodline. I just realized dark southerners of India are black too. They originated from AFrica.

  • @zxa105

Sorry to break it to you, but western social terms are irrelevant to a Ethiopians, and in that context Ethiopians are not Negroid either, meaning we dont fit the definition of "black" by our simple skin color. Ethiopians are Ethiopians, we are not the same as you people.

Nope, I am1/2 Ethiopian, I would rather stick to both my people, Ethiopians and Indians.

I am African, and I am proud. Its people like you who are a disgrace to other Africans. (stick to your western afrocentricty)

  • @WupeViasco

indate neh sandeep? good song lad?

  • @WupeViasco: You are desperately trying to fit in and seek acceptance by the Ethiopian people. You have been told too many times you are not Ethiopia so you are trying to create an imaginary world of your fantasy. You said you are, "African and proud" you are one confused roddent worshipper from India. You are not AFrican, your not Ethiopian, and you'll never be Ethiopian. You definitely are a moron to tell another black they are not Ethiopian. Leave AFrican politic to African people.

  • @zxa105 . ...As an example, check out the Ethio-Israeli singing sisters Ayala Ingidashet and Malka Ingidashet. The dark skinned Gambellan is as Ethiopian as the light skinned Wolloye , Gojame or Gondere. We Ethiopians have too many problems to deal with without adding race in the mix.

  • @zxa105 Who are you to question WupeViasco's Ethiopianness? It is within his right to consider himself Ethiopian, Indian or both. My beef with WupeViasco has nothing to do with his identity. It is rather his silly obsession about race. Ethiopians come in different shape and color. There isn’t one look fits all. Some have light skin, others don’t. Some have kinky hair, others don’t. Some have straight nose. Some don’t. You will find stark differences even within the same family.

  • @Chewasew: you must be his butt buddy...so shut the fuck up.

That wicked Indian needs to learn to respect people and he'll get respect. Who the hell is to go around YouTube questioning and disrespecting individual's ethnicity/race? Ethiopia is probably the only country in the in Africa that can represent every tribe from the continent of Africa. Let the ignorant fool instead figure out who Indians are and where they belong. He fits in very well...

  • @zxa105" Leave AFrican politic to African people."

Yeah! You can see how well that's gone!

  • @bhujikop thats the outcome of your stupid whiterace now STFU

    Get ur Facts straight idiot

  • @WupeViasco Ummm maybe i'd stick to my black ppl thank u very much... I DONT KNO WHERE THE HELL YOU GOT INDIANS AND ETHIOPIANS... those piece of shit racist fucks hate dark skin so why would u want to go and be buddies with them?

  • @zxa105 you comment is not nice lad, very mean, a disgrace.

  • great video.. simple and entertaining, I just love it

  • nice ... with good voice ... i think she is so talented with the perfect voice .. i wish her my best in her success for future & she is blessed to be musician & continue...

  • i watched some ethiopian music and liked all of them.

  • i still get confused when greeting people why do they kiss on the cheek three times? i dont get it we only have two cheeks fell free to explain

  • wow you are ALL so beautiful! thanks for showing me your heritage, the sounds of your music, the ways of your dance. It speaks to me in my very biology. thanks for your musical honesty, somehow without knowing what you are saying i can feel you are being honest.

  • Gech, u looks good on this clip

  • This sounds like arabic music!

  • @pamatnyGracz no, ma'am this does not sound like Arabic music--arabic music sounds like THIS!

  • Africans continue to keep saying after looking at me that this has to be where I am from. Could this be........time will tell.

  • Is wollo where music is born?

  • Thedailydoseofcocoa shows how ignorant he/she is; it who fucking care where you from we all are from lovely mother land Africa. U are just... u know!!! I was gonna write some ugly words back to you, but I hope u'll realize this and will be a big lesson 4 you.

  • My beautiful people

  • Dear Yezina, This is truly a great song. The masinko playing is also excellent. It is as close as you can get to Ethiopian music. Here is what I like most about your presentation. Your shoulder movement are gentle and not exaggerated like most Ethiopians tend to overdo it. You have graceful movements. You look good, but your voice is worth at least a million. Good luck

  • @dzvet I love the masinquo, the krar, the begena.. and the flute..and other reat musical instrumets of my belove cuntry!!

  • @asterchereka

I share your views to a great extent. I might add there should be a law against saxophones. One more improvement would be the lyrics. Much of it is superficial love story. People who can write poems could contribute so singers have something to sing about and not just rhymes.

  • 'nurelegne yezena' you are so original

  • great song!!!!!!

  • Ahuyeeee nice

  • well done !!!!!!!!!

  • dis song is hard ethios and somailans all day

  • nice music! i love the Eskista, thanks for sharing!

  • Oh ! Zinish Yene Konjo, enquan yene ehit honsh.Des blognal. Some people are sucpecting that you are not an Ethiopian, you are not similar with that of western Africans. They are mistaken, you are a symbol of Real Ethiopia.I proud of you! Your brother Berihun Asfaw -From Eth.

  • this is very interesting. She's a very good singer......even though i have no idea what she's saying.

  • YouTube is acting really STUPID on me all of a sudden.

  • betam konjo

  • If you are interested in downloading this music and other come to ikonjit.com

  • What the name of this style of music? This instrument like a violin is called of what?

  • @22jan51

    It is a masinko.

  • @Dahnje Thank you for reply. Observing this special video we see the with green skirt is the drumm player and each participant of the video has its role. What a mazing video- specially because the sound the female singer get from her voice- it's natural, not an eletronic gadget, don't? How she does?

  • @22jan51

Yes. She sings beautifully and naturally. And her eyes they move so seductively.

  • ethiopians are not black. we are ethiopians. and we are mixed.

  • @WupeViasco

You are full of what the white man has taught you. Don't be stupid.

  • @Dahnje nope we are not black, quick question, are you really ethiopian? i thought you were joking?

  • @WupeViasco

Yes I am. I am not joking.

  • @Dahnje you dont look ethiopian, you dont speak amharic do you?

  • @WupeViasco

You don't know what an Ethiopian looks like. You think Ethiopians are WHITE. I do speak Amharic. And Amharic is not the only Ethiopian language anyway. You should go to Ethiopia and see more Ethiopians.
